    They don't like our neighborhood. We all have guns and target shoot in the back yard on weekends. Scares them I guess. Besides, where we live in FL there aren't very many homeless. Guess they all moved out west.

    My first house was in an HOA development. I even got "pushed" into running for a spot on the board. Did that for one term. I woke up and moved out. I'm on 2 1/2 acres in a nice area close to town without the crazy politics and regulations and expenses. It was a good move. No one complains about my two junk cars up on blocks in my front yard....LOL

    A lot of talk and concern about mRNA vaccines, and rightly so. How does everyone feel about the non mRNA vaccines? Especially now that the Novavax vaccine, a more traditional vaccine, is approved for use?

    That's got to be BS. I haven't had a car with a right side pull emergency brake in at least 20 years. Heck, even my '64 Corvair has a left side, below the dash, pull brake.

    A common complaint from the long timers here, like myself, is that we are becoming just like Ft. Lauderdale. Talked to several patients lately that are leaving the area and relocating to Alabama.

    Seems to be a predominantly western US problem. or perhaps a liberal state problem. My son lived in Portland for the last 5 years, but knew it was time to leave. Too many homeless and drug addicts on the street and ending up in the ER where he was working. He came back here to SW Florida as we do not have that problem here.

    My son is in the National Guard and is considering the same.

    Hillary is lucky she is not in jail, but it appears no one in DC ever goes away for any of their wrong doings.

    I don't know about up there, but down in the Keys we have chickens running around wild and they seem to do well without any help. The Winn-Dixie parking lot on our island seems to be a favorite place for them. Surprised they don't burn their "feet" on the hot pavement.

    Around here we call that winter. (And I don't like winter!) In about 2 hours I see my last patient and head out for a VERY LONG holiday weekend in the FL Keys. Water temps should be in the mid to high 80's ...Mmm.

    I'm not too worried about the DEF. I see plenty at Walmart, and if does run out you can probably get the same effect by peeing into the DEF tank! It's the oil shortage that I would be more worried about.

    That's nothing. Have you heard about the impending diesel engine oil and DEF shortages? Critical additives specific for diesel oil are in very short supply which will impact not only trucking (moving virtually everything we use) but also the diesel locomotives for rail transportation. I hope this is all blown out of proportion, but if not we are in for a world of hurt.
