Thanks, I had already forgotten this. I do like the fact that I can get gas at 6:00 am even on the weekends!

My rant for today: Went to my favorite store for weekly Friday restocking. Got there just a couple of minutes after opening. When I got to the checkout which was less than 1 hour after opening, there was a line of people waiting to checkout. WHY? Why can't those people stay home until I am finished? Maybe we need more people like TBone.... Oh lord, did I really say that? Can't wait to see how this gets edited and used against me.

It seems the rubias have left and moved on for younger and more vibrant men... LOL

Happy belated birthday. Hope you got the present I sent you. It was sent out USPS so it probably ended up in Alaska. I do wish Walmart would open a few hours earlier... Were they Iroquois or Cherokee? So you're branching out in search of new Chinese girls?

While we were in the Keys over the July 4th holiday, I took the wife and one of her friends out to the reef, Looe Key, to snorkel and swim. I always take popcorn, not only to snack on, but to feed the fish. They LOVE it! (The fish do) It's just amazing to watch the instant frenzy when popcorn hits the water. I took a video and posted it on my facebook page. I got a slew of likes and some comments from friends. Today another comment popped up from a name I didn't recognize. Supposed to be a friend. Took me a few minutes and I had to check on this person...I recognized their picture. It's a VJ member that was noted for changing his screen name and avatar. LOL Yep, I know him, and you probably do too!

TBone's family?

They all look the same when you turn out the lights. Here we go again. Should be no problem for you, being the expert in toilets! But she is a babe!

I only go Walmarting on Fridays and Sundays generally, besides we just got back from the Keys a few days ago. Did you know there is NO Walmart in the Keys? From our place it is further to the nearest Walmart than it is to Havana Cuba. And to my knowledge there is no Walmart in Havana. I'll have to check on that to be sure... I'm a great catch. You would be so lucky to find a guy like me! LOL

You're probably right, and I'm falling right into it.

But this time it's a good thing.

Didn't go Walmarting yesterday. That's always saved for Fridays and some other weekend day. Had to work a few days this week after spending an extended holiday in the Keys. In fact, I was a little late leaving the house today to get there. It was (2x2+2) plus many minutes before I left the house. I was very efficient with shopping as my list was in order of my route thru the store... speed shopping! A cart full and self checkout and home in 1 hour. Everything is put away and the kitchen cleaned up laundry started and coffee made. Wife is still asleep. This is when she is at her best, and when I love her the most.😆 Now time to catch up on TBone's adventures. Was thinking about all that TBone is going thru and concluded that since there is no other woman in his life, it would be much simpler to have his mother move in with him. LOL I'm still hoping for the return of ex-Mrs TBone. Had a productive holiday in the Keys. Had two other couples come down for our annual 4th celebration there. It was apparent we all are getting older. Not nearly as much alcohol consumed as in years past, at least not so much by me. Even our Russian friends didn't get falling down drunk this time. My wife has been full of surprises lately. For years she was not excited about going to the Keys but did it to please me. The last several times we were there she said she slept much better there and really didn't want to go home. She generally didn't like going out in the sun for swimming or hanging out at the sand bar, but she now has a burkini (I never knew it was a thing) and is fine with going out now. I often suggested we need a larger boat to accommodate us and our friends but she always told me we would NEVER get another boat. This past week as we were hanging out at the sand bar she spotted a large tritoon boat that she absolutely loved. It's a living room on the water. She says we need to get it. I don't even know who this woman is anymore.

Cruise | Visa question
Neonred replied to BOKURAGAITA's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
I have had a similar situation and conversation with a cruise line about this issue. A few years ago we had friends visit us from Russia on their Russian passport and US tourist visa. They wanted to go on a Caribbean cruise with us. The cruise line will put it on you to do your homework and check for the needed visas, BUT the reality is that once you are on the ship there are no immigration checks at ports of call. The cruise line never asked for any additional documents other than the passports and US visa. You exit and reenter the ship using the passenger card they give you. That's all. The only immigration check is returning to the US. I was able to confirm this while on board the ship when they were trying to sell me another future cruise! That was our experience. -
Oh, that's just cruel.

Renewing Russian Passport in the US?
Neonred replied to PG0305's topic in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus
I'm curious about this as my wife has been unsuccessful at renewing her Russian passport (more on this below) and it seems that a Russian citizen must enter Russia on their Russian passport and a visa is not supposed to be issued to them on another countries passport. My wife's internal and international passports expired just before we had planned to go to Russia to renew them. This was several years ago. Some confusion on US vs European date formats... Wife's passport had been renewed once at the embassy in DC, done by mail back when they were issuing just 5 year passports. Five years later when both had expired was when we ran into trouble. An expired internal passport is a big problem. The embassy said they could not determine that she was a Russian citizen! They needed more documents and additional money to work on this. After sending everything and waiting several months the story was the same. We gave up. Fortunately my wife already had her US passport. Wife never really cared that much about following up on the Russian passport. Wife's US passport lists her place of birth as Kyrgyzstan as she was born in that Soviet Republic. I told her we might try to get a visa to Russia thinking it might slide through unnoticed. So far we have not had any reason to return to Russia. -
I wanted to say this before, but I was hopeful about where this could be going...😉 And finally another decent meal for you. Sorry to hear about your burnt dinner. Try to be more careful next time. LOL

Meant to le you know that when we came by Alligator Alcatraz there were NO protesters, only a handful of news trucks. That didn't last long!

It's OK. I'm sure mama TB would be happy with a few new pets.

I was thinking he was devolving, if that's a word. Then again I don't think he has flung poo lately.

I just do my own You went to Walmart too late... Yesterday I received BK coupons. We rarely eat junk food. Sadly they will just go to waste.

Seems like I have been working my tail off the last several weeks along with having to entertain visiting family. Very little time for VJ. Tomorrow in the am we are heading back down to the Keys for a long 4th weekend with more friends coming. Seems like I don't get any time to myself anymore. At least I won't go back to work until Tuesday. A lot of patients will be upset, but I DON'T CARE ANYMORE! Will have to drive right by the new "Alligator Alcatraz" on the way. Looks like slow going in that area with all the protesters and news people. Lucky I wasn't going down today what with the President, Governor. and others arriving there. It's just a simple country two lane road in the middle of nowhere with just a small Indian reservation near by. Everyone is generally driving fast.... 70 or better. If you see on the news a person in a large SUV taking out several protesters tomorrow, that might be me. When we were down for Memorial day I observed nearly every boat at the local sand bar had a flag. Most with and American flag but also many had the Conch Republic flag. Decided I needed a flag also. Two weeks ago when we were there I worked on that, and this time I will be ready. I've got the flag pole for the boat and it's set up for displaying two flags one above the other. Of course the American flag is upper most. I also have a selection of secondary flags. Conch Republic, Florida state flag, University of Louisville flag, and by special request of my wife... a USSR flag🤔. Will see how that last one goes over, but of course all our friends that will be coming down were born in the former USSR. I'll be the only native born American in the group. Everyone have a great 4th.

Sounds a lot like where my wife lived in Russia. I remember taking the taxi bus and traffic was backed up so the driver drove down the sidewalk.

I'm back. I was suffering from a long and severe bout of "way too much to do and not nearly enough time", but I have found a cure. At the end of today I started a week and a half vacation, sort of. Saturday we will pick up one of my wife's friends from back in the city they were living in in Russia. She also did a K-1 and married a guy in the God forsaken state of Texas. She's flying in from Dallas and will stay with us for a week. We hadn't heard from her in several years and it turns out she had wanted to visit the Keys and Key West but then found out how expensive it was to stay there and then thought about us. Now we are great friends again! I don't mind having her, and she was one of my wife's first friends I met on my first trip to Russia, BUT I'm still a little mad at her because the first time she met me, and questioned me when my wife was in the restroom, she later that day told my wife "he will never marry you"... We pick her (Lena) up Saturday morning and head immediately to the Keys. Unfortunately my wife decided she needed backup and invited her daughter and the grandkids (spoiled rotten boys) to come down to the Keys for the duration. The dad is going to be out of town and the daughter needs to work (remotely). This is NOT my idea of vacation and I refuse to baby sit two kids while I try to do my R&R. We will see how this turns out. Looks like heavy drinking will be necessary. And plenty of time on the water fishing. Alone.
