  1. And how is the lovely Ex-Mrs.-T-B? Have not heard much about her lately.
  2. I do enjoy my vegetables more now than when I was young, but meat is king. Was reading an article that points out that there was a shift many years ago from a meat rich diet to more carbs due to the fears of fats and heart disease. Now many are saying we are overdoing it with the carbs and we need to shift back to less carbs and more protein and fats.
  3. My steak looks a little different. There is no bone, and the meat is all ground up and formed into a hockey puck shape.
  4. Without a doubt he is in Susan Rice's ear, but as bad as the Obama administration was, the Biden administration is 10x worse. How can one man screw up everything he works at so badly? On the wrong side of every issue.
  5. Soon it will be time for more stimulus. A lot. Get the printing presses ready.
  6. https://www.whitehouse.gov/dpc/about-the-director/ Ambassador Susan E. Rice is the Domestic Policy Advisor in the Biden Administration. As Director of the Domestic Policy Council, she drives the formulation and implementation of President Biden’s domestic policy agenda, from economic mobility and racial equity to health care and immigration. Formulating and implementing failing policies.
  7. I have been told by a number of well connected folks, as well as many in the financial world, that it is Susan Rice. Look up her info and see that she is the chief domestic policy maker and advisor.
  8. The money must be rolling in. I remember a time when I never saw an ad here, but now every time I click I am confronted with a full page ad.
  9. Will have to rethink the middle GA trip as my research indicates there is absolutely nothing of interest to see or do there.
  10. Currently planning our summer vacation. Had to give up the idea of a trip to the Baltic countries and Russia for a couple of reasons. Looking at spending a wonderful time exploring the highlights of middle Georgia.
  11. Come on down and we can all hit the beach, go out on the water, and take in the party scene in Key West. Sorry, just realized it might be a little too much for an old guy...LOL
  12. I'm at my place in the Keys right now. When we built, the builder brought in fill so that the land under the house would be 3' above sea level. During hurricane Irma we had a 6' storm surge so there was 3' of water under the house (it's a stilt house for that very reason).
  13. What really bugs me is people that treat their cars like a dumpster. My ex-wife and my wife's daughter fall into that category. Hop into the passenger seat and there is no place to put your feet. Papers, food wrapers, old Starbucks cups etc. Makes me sick. At the begining of the pandemic my wife's daughter and family came down from Boston to live with us until the virus problem "blew over"... oh what a story for another time. We decided to clean their Ford Explorer. It was GROSS. I asked when was the last time they washed and cleaned their 3 year old Explorer. Uh, never. And they have two toddlers so you can imagine what the back seats were like.
  14. My prior Mercedes SUV had clock issues too. It would automatically transition from EST to EDT, but it would always advance or fall back by just a half hour. ####### I will say that it was a diesel Mercedes SUV that I had and liked. What I really liked was the torque and fuel milage from that motor. Planned on keeping it a long time but then came the oil leak (fixed @ N/C under extended warranty) and the complete loss of oil shortly after due to the mechanic not tightening the oil line to the turbo. Didn't run long with almost no oil and dealer said compression was OK so "no engine damage". Decided I could not trust this SUV anymore so dumped it in favor of the Lincoln SUV. Of course the Lincoln is newer and the tech is so much better. Less expensive than the Mercedes and nicer too. I have no reason to ever buy another MB vehicle, but my wife is the brand snob Russian and.... As a former Mercedes mechanic patient of mine told me " Mercedes is a very nice vehicle, but you DO NOT want to own one out of warranty"
  15. Boat is 19' and stays under the house on the trailer when I'm not here. That way it is out of the sun and weather and especially this time of year it is well tied down. When Irma came through several boats in the neighborhood came off their lifts and ended up scattered around the hood. Mine was tied down and stayed put although I could tell which direction the wind had come from as the whole combo moved a few feet and the upwind lines were super tight. Probably my biggest problem will be keeping the folks in the area from thinking they have a new FREE public launch ramp!
  16. I'll be checking them. Better than Bearing Buddy's, the spindle comes drilled with a zirk fitting on the end. When grease is injected it enters at the back and pushes the old grease out to the front. Fortunately the boat sits on the trailer under the house and currently only has to go less than a mile to the neighborhood launch ramp. My new dock project includes a concrete launch ramp so I won't even have to leave the property. Only took just a little over a year to get the Army Corps of Engineers approval. Monroe Co. says we should have the final permit in a few weeks.
  17. Life (and work) are finally settling down. After July 4th I'll have more free time. Putting new wheels and tires on boat trailer this weekend and preparing for new dock construction.
  18. I feel the same however my wife feels differently and it seems the wife almost always gets her way.
  19. Heard this the other day and I chuckled. I guess I am just evil. Anthony S. Fauci, a top government infectious-disease expert and President Biden’s chief medical adviser, tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday, according to a statement from the White House and health officials. https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2022/06/15/fauci-tests-positive-coronavirus/
  20. Yeah, no big deal. I used to do that to my kids when they tried to cross the border from their bedrooms into the TV room.
