  1. That would be the "Kentucky Bourbon Trail". I know it very well....
  2. Call me a crazy old man, but I truly feel this whole transgender thing is strictly a mental health issue. If you are unsure of your sex or want to change it, you've got some serious problems.
  3. At least they were able to get rid of her quickly. We are stuck with old Joe for another 2 years.
  4. Well, she is a Russian, and you know how they are. She has told me several times we will never get divorced. When she is done with me she will just poison me.
  5. That's pretty much my wife's attitude. She said from now on we bring our guns to work with us. She wasn't kidding.
  6. Had one of those happen to us just about a week ago. A lady popped into our office and asked our receptionist to fax a document for her. The receptionist asked her if she was our patient. She was not. Being the nice people we are we decided to help her out and send her fax. It seems it was a fax to her bank and had something to do with her lost ATM card and password. She used our phone number as her contact number. We faxed it, it made the typical tones a fax makes when sending, but was unsuccessful making the connection. Lady insisted we do it again, and again, and again. We did but each time it was a failure. She insisted that it had been successful as she heard the tones... We handed her back her papers and said sorry, but she would not leave. Mind you, this lady appeared to be from the AA/drug rehab facility a few doors down, and was acting very strange. We assumed she was on drugs or off her meds. Constantly touching her face and whining and saying the same things over and over in a very loud voice. We asked her to leave but she refused and said we had her paperwork, I assume it was the paperwork she thought would be faxed. When we insisted she leave she yelled she was going to call the police. Not a great thing when there are other patients in the reception. I was working on a patient and only heard some of what was happening and didn't have a chance to come out to help. Receptionist called her husband, a friend of ours that works close by. He came and saw what was happening and called the police. Before the police arrived she understood what was about to happen and fled. Police said if it occurs again to lock the door and they would come and take her away. Next day she called our office a few times threatening to send her boyfriend over. She finally quit calling or coming by. It certainly affected my receptionist the same way it did to you. Never expected that in our community.
  7. Thanks! I'm going to go ahead and do something I try not to do too often.... I'm giving you an up vote! LOL You really don't need them (up votes) as you are the world leader in up votes.
  8. Yes, I've noticed that some of your recent posts, especially when you are not including your interaction with your wonderful and sad to be ex, are just half-thrilling. 😉
  9. It is worth noting that there are two power companies serving areas that were hit by the hurricane. Where I am in Naples (Collier Co) we are serviced by FPL (Florida Power and Light) and to the north, Ft. Myers and Cape Coral (Lee Co) are served mostly by LCEC (Lee County Electric Co-Op). FPL was very efficient and worked very hard to restore power with assistance from emergency crews from outside our area. Initially LCEC refused outside help and thus were very slow at restoration. Governor DeSantis heard about this and was critical of LCEC encouraging them to take on more help to restore power more quickly. https://www.fox4now.com/news/local-news/governor-presses-county-electric-cooperative-to-expedite-restoration
  10. This morning's news said 2200 without power in Cape Coral. No power to Pine Island or Sanibel, but those areas are exceptional. Don't know of anyone here in Naples without power. They did say there were some homes they were not restoring power to as they were so badly damaged. Also don't anticipate full power restoration to Ft. Myers Beach anytime soon. That area is devastated. Years ago I had a friend that lived on Ft. Myers beach, right on the beach. Visited and stayed there several times. Saw the NOAA pictures and noticed that house, built in 1938, was gone. Hurricane took it and the 4 surrounding houses.
  11. Maybe still a little doubt about sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline, but no doubts about the explosion on the Crimea bridge yesterday.
  12. It takes more than just the right to win a Presidential election.
  13. I sincerely hope you don't confuse anyone into thinking I am from California. My daughter is a part owner of a group pediatric dental practice with 3 offices. One in Bonita Springs, one in Cape Coral, and one in Port Charlotte (on 41 about a mile from the Peace River) Just talked to her a few hours ago and she said the office in Port Charlotte was OK, but the one in Cape Coral had a few broken windows and got about 4 or 6 inches of water inside according to the office manager. She is headed there tomorrow morning to see the damage. They are most worried about computers that were on the floor. Before I left my office Tuesday I raised up all computers and put them on the counters. Thank you! As you can see I am back. Power and internet came back on just a few hours ago. It's been 4 1/2 days without both. This hurricane was not as bad for me as the last one, Irma, 5 years ago. No house or office damage. Only lost 2 trees this time. I'm about 5 miles from the beach so not affected by storm surge. Just a short distance to the north it is just terrible. I was only able to listen to radio to learn about the damage so all of you have probably seen more of the damage than I have. Did make a quick run to the beach Thursday after checking the office. That seems to be the major area of damage for Naples. For me it has been a lot of clean up. Downed palm fronds and branches from Pine trees everywhere.
  14. My, you sure are a valued Costco customer. Must be getting a BIG rewards check at the end of the year.
  15. A lot of media hype about the coming hurricane that is still not a hurricane. Too many people in a panic. Lines at the gas pumps. People grabbing water jugs and staples at the market. I'm sure the hurricane shutters will be going up today. Yesterday they said that the unnamed (at the time) storm was headed directly toward us and would be a powerful Cat 3 or worse hurricane. I say that is a GOOD thing, when several days out they are predicting a direct hit in my area. They are (almost) always wrong. I do believe this storm will drift somewhat west and miss us. Possibly headed toward TBoneTX! LOL I am mostly prepared. Generators where started and run yesterday. Chainsaw was run yesterday also. Finished stocking up on gas. Just need to secure all items in the pool area and will wait a day or so to shutter the windows and door at the office pending more accurate track prediction. May need to make one more trip to the store to replenish the beer supply.
  16. I can see she had much better dental care than most Brits.
  17. Hey, I love boobs just as much as the next guy, but... Oh, that's a guy?? 🤮 On second thought, that might make a heck of a Fantasy Fest costume.
  18. 👍 On a side note, I always think of you and chuckle when I hear Ric Flair's new commercial for the ED treatment called "Mt Everest".
