What’s “clear”? I mean, if you buy a one way ticket, for DHS that might be an indicator of intention to marry and stay, which is fraud. She was lucky to get away with it. Some people are not allowed in.

    I would be anxious, too.

Clearly the intention was never “two weeks.”

I’m always curious about how someone who truly intends to be gone for two weeks can leave things at home (pets? Job? Housing? Other responsibilities?)., and then spontaneously decide they can stay for up to a year without returning.

Anyway, good luck.   I’m out, too.

So what was your intention for this trip? You got engaged on her last trip and what what the purpose for this trip? Was it just so she could come and see you or was it your plan to have her come to the US on a non-immigrant visa and have her adjust status? Because that is considered immigration fraud.
As others have mentioned before, she was admitted so she was lucky there but I still am a little confused on the purpose of her current trip.

Because we don't know when exactly she will be returning. I've not much experience in flying in general, so I didn't want to buy a ticket not knowing when she would be returning.

I am located in WV. And I'm not sure what she told CBP. I mean I only bought a one way ticket so that should be pretty clear.

I hope he can either give you an explanation if he was indeed married (which will give the chance to get divorce papers) or at least get you a copy of what was filed last time so you can check who is that “spouse” they wrote down... Good luck

You can check in the forum for waivers in visa journey or as iawait told you in immigrate2us... And I'm sorry about your wait and separation from your family but understand that no case is identical to another so it seems unfair you are so critical to real love cases even if they just met each other once or just for a week, all the people have the same right that you have in this process... You don't know the suffer of the people that came here and live without papers in this country... just don't be so judgemental because is really selfish and unfair... my husband and I, as the majority of visa journey, are doing things legally and have to be far away of who we love... the same as you... the waiver is a need in your case because even for ignorance you violate the law, from the begginning coming on tourist visa, and live in the US is illegal, so is not just the school enrollment.
As to any people doing the process in the right way, i wish you the best and that your wait is super short, just don't be unfair with others, we are all suffering waiting times, separation, but we are just trying to be with the people that we love... so good luck today and forever.

Carla V got a reaction from kikibooboo in How does your SO cope with everything
    Hi, Kikibooboo,
You just graduated, have a life ahead of you, and four months is such a short relationship... as a latina myself, for us is such a big deal to avoid macho attitudes and even more to feel not needed or apart from our significant other, don't know if is bad advise but I would just run as fast as I can... people's character or thoughts won't change but accentuated with the time... so, how will you feel if you are already married and he comes home one day and tells you Regardless of you going or not I wil go to a party, to a trip, to a whatever you wanna put here.... how will that make you feel?
In my case I have my perfect half in my SO because he is as social as a clam, just like me, plus we always make decisions together, which is a priority for me... if is a priority for you to feel part of the decision process, and want to have a husband that is more into the relationship than into friends, is not the ideal for you.
if you are ok with how he act just talk to see what are his expectations.
For me, that kind of wording he use and the explanation of why he use it, sounds to me that he is either tired of you being visiting or he just don't care if you are here or not... be wise taking decisions about this guy because you can bump into what you don't like and you won't be able to say you never saw him acting like that before...
    Blessings

The best thing is have several documents giving strenght to show what sole custody means, as others stated: they need original copies of birth certificates, documents from your goverment stating you have sole custody, documents showing that the sole custody allows you to take the kids out of the country permanently, others use also newspaper ads several days in all known places where the father could be, private investigators looking for them, etc. Also, as others stated the weight of proving evidence is yours... This process is long and difficult for everyone, the people is just trying to give you advise to avoid you problems but is you who will decide how to do it, but keep in mind that if you start something in the wrong way, things will get bad sooner or later... If it was me, I would go back to my home country and apply as soon as I have all documents, my co sponsor, etc... I know how terrible is to even think about spending time away from who we love but its definetely worth it, and you will have peace of mind...

Check the family law in your state, and check if You can call the sheriff department, cops, to witness him leaving because you are worry about him being able to physically hurt you
I would call my law enforcement department and check if that option exist, because those words are a threat and if he might be violent towards you or any family member its maybe the best route... if it indeed exist, be sure you change locks that same day and check also if you can file a restraining order

For what I understand is background checks for the beneficiary what they look for... anyone with more experience can tell you when or if to mention it and if it cause a delay. And I'm sorry for be nosey but I'm strongly disagree when you said it's his ONLY DUI because in that only one he could kill someone or injure someone that might be less important for you than a delay in your process but the world for their love ones... Just saying

When you schedule the Consulate interview you also schedule the CAS appointment, the only thing you don't schedule is the medical, but when you are in Juarez you go to the medical really early, like two days before your interview, just to be on the safe side.... but they do give your results back that same afternoon....

My two cents: your options are stay, marry and adjust; marry, leave and file spousal visa or; leave and file for k1 visa....
Just as a subject to think about... you said you have already 3 children, don't know if they like him, don't know how or if they will get along with your fiance for more than a few weeks or more if you decide to marry and above all, at least in my culture is really difficult for a mom with any girl to remarry because we are really conservative and overcautious of our girls safety and well being,I'm not saying he is a bad person at all,but you just met him in person 10 days ago and I guess I just heard so many bad things in the world.... but just be careful with your babies, because the little ones are always the ones that get hurt the most with our choices.

I think the OP didn't understand yet his situation.
To clarify... Your green card have a "condition" that you are living in the US a green card is a Permanent Resident Card, which means you are permanently living in the US. You should be in the US more time than any other place, in your case Pakistan... Now, maybe they never see that situation everytime you "visited" the US, but they will when you file paperwork to bring your family because as everyone else stated is possible for a permanent resident file to bring their family to the US to reunite with them (this means that the permanent resident is living in the US and his family somewhere else)
The things you will have to deal with are: if you are still a permanent resident (having the card doesn't make you a 'valid" permanent resident and there are conditions to keep that status, not just the card.) And after that, if your status is still valid then filing for your family. (you need affidavit of support and other documents you may check in the forum guides)
Search the causes that lead to "abandonment of green card" to see if you had been in fault.
    Hope you the best.

OP, I'm sorry about your situation, but marry a girl now just because it seems to be your only choice to stay in the US is really cruel with her... if you wanna finish your studies then try to get a proper visa to do it, don't create a bad situation just because you wanna stay in this country... is unfair and speaks about your values and feelings... don't ruin anyone else life in order to get what you want... karma is @#%#@
    Good luck!!!

Even if you want to you dont forget your sad past... so ask him to call or go to the city hall of where he got married or divorce and ask for a copy of the record... DONT LIE!!!!!!! Gather the documents!!!! All the lies come up to light in some point, so stop risking yourself

Hi, unfortunately Pregnancy is not a reason to expedite a case... and Im sorry to be nosey but I just gave birth six months ago and at the beginning of the pregnancy you have to wait in average six to ten weeks to be able to see anything at all in an ultrasound... and at two weeks probably you dont even know you are late... the pregnancy count from your last period forward so two weeks pregnant is two weeks from her last period... As an advise I would be cautious (last week I saw a case here of a guy that saw two different babies throught pictures, that supposely born abroad and was told both are his and I think it was all a lie...) still I hope your journey is smooth and hopefully leads to your happiness
