Hi there, New member to this forum here! I am a Canadian, married to a US citizen and we are currently filling out all the paperwork and compiling evidence to submit with our AOS package. I am wondering if anyone would have an AOS checklist specific for someone adjusting from B2 visitor status? Or by chance a table of contents you'd be happy to share with me? We are planning to complete all forms and submit ourselves, and as you all know it is extremely daunting! Thanks in advance. Goodluck to other upcoming filers and to others who are playing the waiting game!! Hailey

| I-129F: I lack the usual proof of physical meeting |

Hi! My American girlfriend and I (Canadian) are considering US immigration via the K1 fiance visa route. My understanding is the I-129F form requires evidence that we have physically been together within the last 2 years. The problem is, despite meeting each other dozens of times over the last two years, I'm not sure we have any evidence of it. For years, our routine has been that she drives across the border from Buffalo to visit me on her days off from work. We just never really do anything special when she's here in Canada; we just hang out at my home. And besides, we've barely even seen each other in person since March 2020 for obvious reasons. Most of the usual suggestions for proof that I see on these forums are not something I have: - There are no visa stamps, since Canadians and Americans do not require them to cross the border.
- I did fly to Buffalo to visit her last year, but I did not keep the boarding pass.
- We have never paid for anything simultaneously (one of us covers the whole bill whenever we buy something, for simplicity.)
- We have pictures together, but nothing that proves any dates (how often do you take pictures standing next to today's newspaper?)
- We have 84,000 messages exchanged on Discord (instant messaging platform), but that doesn't prove we've been together physically, or even that her Discord account is actually her.
Now that the border is open again, we're fine with purposely seeking out some sort of activity that could constitute proof of physically meeting. But doing so feels sort of fake and staged and I don't want to give that impression to US officials looking at my application. At the same time, I do need proof somehow. What can I do? Thanks for the help!

Hi guys I am a dual citizen now. I plan to get a USA passport but delays are making it a 4 month lead time and I want to travel back and forth between Canada and USA in the mean time (air and land ) My nexus card says CAN on it. I went to global entry office state side to add naturalization cert to my profile. Do I have to carry it with me when crossing the border now or the nexus card is sufficient ? I can request a replacement card online I was told. Would it automatically print USA on jt under citizenship ? I'm concerned in that case about crossing back into Canada. If the card says USA on it will they automatically recognize me as Canadian when I scan the card at the airport or at the land border? thank you

To those residing in Canada with spouses in the US - How did you apply for your ITIN? How much did it cost? I have contacted two lawyers offices who are acceptance agents in Toronto, and they are quoting a fee of approx $500. Just wanted to check if that is a reasonable fee? Note: I wanted to post this on a Canada specific forum, but did not know how to. Moderators, please redirect if necessary.

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to post in so I apologize in advance. My K-1 Visa got approved and I have received it in the mail so we are planning my move. I had a couple questions. 1. Other than my sealed envelope, passport and ID, do I need to make sure I have anything else on-hand and not packed? (Do I need to have the xray out as well?) 2. Does anyone know if train is an option? On the welcome to the USA paper they gave me, it says "You can enter the United States by car, bus, plane or boat. Regardless how you travel, allow one hour for processing". I ask because I used the train to go over there on my last visit. I believe Greyhound bus is closed til the border reopens and I had bad experiences with them so I'd like to avoid them if I can. 3. I don't own any furniture, but I can't fit everything into my suitcase/backpack. Am I allowed to mail my miscellaneous stuff to the address we'll be living together at? (I saw a thread on this but I can't seem to find it again, sorry!) Thank you so much for your time.
