  1. Yes we've had our joint sponsor since the start of the immigration process.
  2. I lost my job yesterday and my husband's consulate interview is on May 29th. I've taken this as an opportunity to visit my husband to help him prepare and get ready to move to the US after his interview. Do we need to update the NVC or consulate about the change in income? We already have a co sponsor who is well above the poverty guidelines and have shown they have the income to support my husband if needed when we submitted the AOS. I guess I just want to see if anyone has any advice or similar experiences. I'd hate for my husband to be rejected at the interview because of me.
  3. We got our interview date today for May 29. My husband lives in Alberta Canada which has no approved doctors so he will have to go to another province. My husband wants to go to the doctor in Vancouver since its the closest, but I dont know how long it takes to get the medical exam results and if it would be easier for him to go to one in Montreal a day or two before his interview so he doesn't have to hop back and forth between provinces. Any fellow Alberta residents or canadians have suggestions about doing their medical exams?
  4. regarding the Canadian police record check on the travel state gov website at says that "The following documents WILL NOT be accepted: Type of Criminal Record Check for Personal Use: Visa-Border Crossing, Foreign Travel, Work document." and they want "Sub-type: Other (Provide Details)", my husband went to his local station to ask about it and said he wanted the subtype other and when asked for details he said immigration but was told there were multiple types. what type is he supposed to say exactly? he even showed the example document but they could not help him further.
  5. Sorry I should of clarified, i'm visiting my husband in Canada.
  6. I am currently filling out the online 130 form and there is a question that asks "when is the last time you and your spouse lived together?" Does visiting them count? Because I've been staying with my husband and his family since May and don't leave until August but the online form doesn't allow you to put a future date or write present.
