Hi, I read online that cases where an applicant is aging-out have high priority (Tier One). I'm just wondering if my visa category would allow me to expedite the visa interview? I know Tier One is for Immediate Relatives but my case is a Family Preference (F3) case. This is what the travel.state.gov website says: - Tier One: Immediate relative intercountry adoption visas, age-out cases (cases where the applicant will soon no longer qualify due to their age), certain Special Immigrant Visas (SQ and SI for Afghan and Iraqi nationals working with the U.S. government), and emergency cases as determined on a case-by-case basis.
My question is, now that I'm already 21, can we expedite the interview for our F3 family preference case or does this only apply for Immediate Relative applicants? Here's some more details about me: PD: July 2008 Approved date: Apr 2010 DQ: July 2020 21st birthday: Feb 2021 Visa current: Mar 2021 We became DQ'd before the visa was current, so I am assuming I have already "sought to acquire" as I submitted the DS-260s on NVC and it was accepted.

Hello ! After a long and grueling 706 days I finally had my interview in Montreal and quickly got approved. So right now I don't have m,y passport and was told I'll get it back in 3 to 6 weeks. I was given a sheet that says to use https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/users/sign_in/iv to track my passport. Right now on that page it Current Status: Appointment I assume it's not updated in real time do I need to check there daily to see when I'll have a tracking number for my passport or do you also receive a notice by email ? Thanks ! It feels really good to see the light at the end of this long tunnel.

Thinking of finally applying to naturalize. I could use your advice for my possibly unique-ish situation. |

Hello VisaJourney Tribe! (I'm Canadian, and a permanent resident of the US since 2008. Got in with a K1, got married, but the marriage dissolved.) Here is a barrage of question. If anyone can answer any of these, I'd of course be most grateful. 1. Thanks to the pandemic, finances went really south. They weren't terrific before, however I managed. So applying with having had some assistance, is that a no-no? 2. Due to the pandemic, are biometrics still charged but not actually done? 3. Is applying for financial assistance to pay for the application a "death sentence", meaning chances would be slimmer to be allowed to become a citizen? 4. I use a mail service being I move often, is this also a red flag to USCIS? 5. Anything I don't even know to ask? Thanks! May you be having a terrific day.

Hello, First time posting here. We were DQ'd Jan 14, 2020. Paid Boundless for immigration services. My Canadian criminal record check with fingerprints is dated Nov 25, 2020. Is this only good for a year? Another issue. My husband started an entry level position with Local 46 (Kent, WA) to pursue the electrician trade. He took a personal leave from his current job until December as he pursues an apprenticeship. Should I be looking into how this could impact immigration for us because my sponsor has a change in pay and job? Ugh. So frustrated by how long it's taking to get an interview!!

Hi Everyone, My daughter and myself had our i130's approved last October (IR1/IR3). I'm about to pay the AOS and IV fee's online. We were both given seperate NVC Case numbers. Due to that, how do we only submit 1 AOS fee? Or does CEAC allow me to proceed with the application with just paying 1 IV fee on one case, and the OAS and IV fee on the other? I thought for some reason it doesn't let you proceed until all fees were paid on that screen. Or is there a way to have just one case?
