Hello everyone, finally my USC wife and I are ready to send the AOS package, with the I-130, I-485, I-765, affidavit of support and medical exam.

We were just wondering if the evidence that we have is considered enough or strong for USCIS to corroborate that our marriage is real.

We currently have:

- Joint lease agreement showing same residency
- Joint renters insurance policy
- Wife’s retirement plan showing me as the only beneficiary.
- Last statement of joint bank account with Bank of America + debit cards + recent movements on the account.
- Authorized user on a Chase credit card + screenshot of expenses made with the card.
- Additional user on power bill
- A couple of sworn affidavits
- Emergency contacts
- Email, call and text history
- Photographic evidence, A LOT (+15 pages), receipts of vacations and plane tickets.

That's all we have right now. Filing taxes jointly was an option, but not worth it because we'd have to pay taxes on my foreign income (self employment taxes), and would make us owe to the IRS, when filing married separately would get us (her) a return of over $500.

Thank you all

More  monthly bank statements the better, so not just last bank statements. Send it all. Chase credit card, u can download the statement through the phone all in pdf file, it’s way nicer than screenshot

The thing is that since we are newly married (almost 4 months), we got only 1 statement from our joint bank account that we opened a couple months ago. That’s why we upload the screenshots! What do you think?

what is missing is the marriage certificate

What do you say it is not needed? the tax return?

The marriage certificate is there or course!

Chat history, Affidavit, and emergency contacts are not needed. Please complete your timelines. Expect scrutiny at interview if you were out of status at the time you were married and remember the reason for the visit you told cbp. USCIS is cracking down on these types of basis of adjusting status.

Oh, we just put all the evidence we could find, even if it is secondary evidence. I’m not out of status yet, and I don’t have a timeline since I didn’t send the package yet either. The reason of my visit was legit and yes I remember it perfectly

It's not whether the visit was legit but whether you had immigrant intent when you entered the US or had a really good reason to adjust status rather than go home and consular process.
