I know it says 6-8 weeks from 5/21/24 but checking here to see how long it’s taking? I did regular processing. Anyone get rejected or was asked for more information?

This is my first time applying.

I used the form filler and left DOB blank for my father because I don’t know. Acceptance agent said to put ‘Unknown’ with pen so I did. I also did the paper application but agent said we can accept the printed form filler with unknown in pen written. Would this cause any concerns?

Passport size picture was taken at FedEx. Anyone take it there? Any issues?

My wife's was a renewal...this was the 10th year since her naturalization.

We mailed it on 18 March 24.

We received the new one on 01 May 24.

They sent her (cancelled) old one back on 09 May 24.

So it was 45 days in our case.

Vicky's Mom

Was I suppose to do this first before passport application?

Not necessary.  My wife hasn't updated her SS status.  Received passport without any issues.  Sometimes, people need to stop worrying...it will drive you crazy.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Right. Yeah, just wanted to make sure it’s not a big deal. SSA wants to see the original CON? I have a copy of it. DoS has my original.
