I applied online on 4/20 and already got my interview scheduled for 06/03! 😱 DC seems to be flying through cases. Now, the only problem I have is that I'm waiting for Germany's new citizenship law allowing dual citizenship to go into effect 06/26, so I'll have to take my oath after that. Do you think I can ask for a later oath date at the interview? I guess I can always reschedule my oath if I have to... Really didn't expect them to be this fast!

I'm in the same boat as you - filed a week later than you also in DC; no interview date yet. The law actually goes into effect on 6/27 - looks like the oath ceremony can be quick, or take a couple of months after the interview. But I think you'd be ok rescheduling the oath ceremony if it's quicker than expected.

I did some digging here on Visajourney and it seems relatively straight forward to reschedule the oath ceremony, if necessary. You can mail a letter explaining why you need to attend a later oath ceremony to your field notice. Apparently, they will even automatically reschedule ONCE if you don't show up. (Not that I plan on doing that...) https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-j-chapter-4

Also, thank you for the reminder - yes, the law only goes into effect 6/27, not 6/26.

Hi everyone,

my husband applied on 4/16 (3 year rule- Dallas TX) and biometrics were reused. It’s showing 7 months estimated time but I’m hoping it’s sooner. His coworker applied and got an interview 3 months later… I have hope. 😮‍💨

Wife's application initially showed 7 months.....interview was actually 4 months later...in Dallas.

I knew we won’t see any updates before August but I can’t help login everyday to check. 🫠 his green card removal of conditions is still processing.

Quick question, as I am reading back through all of the posts in this thread.  For those that filed online, did you file a separate biometrics form and pay a fee, or just the N-400?

We only filled the N400. The biometrics fee would’ve been paid the day of your appointment if biometrics were needed.

I thought it was $85 aside from the $710 for the application

The $710 for the N-400 online filing includes the non-refundable biometric fee, whether you end up needing to go in for biometrics or not.

Yup. Biometric fees are due when filing.

Seems like I'm the only one who's still without a biometrics notice 😫
