I did some digging here on Visajourney and it seems relatively straight forward to reschedule the oath ceremony, if necessary. You can mail a letter explaining why you need to attend a later oath ceremony to your field notice. Apparently, they will even automatically reschedule ONCE if you don't show up. (Not that I plan on doing that...) https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-j-chapter-4 Also, thank you for the reminder - yes, the law only goes into effect 6/27, not 6/26.

I applied online on 4/20 and already got my interview scheduled for 06/03! 😱 DC seems to be flying through cases. Now, the only problem I have is that I'm waiting for Germany's new citizenship law allowing dual citizenship to go into effect 06/26, so I'll have to take my oath after that. Do you think I can ask for a later oath date at the interview? I guess I can always reschedule my oath if I have to... Really didn't expect them to be this fast!

Both letters are 48 months.

I also got a duplicate 48 month extension letter (application received 02/07), but I guess it will come in handy if I ever lose the first one?!? 😅
