Hello everyone,I have a quick question and hopefully someone here can help us. 

My husband is coming to the US on the 6th and he lands in Chicago when he arrives to America does he go to the immigration or where does he go...thank you

What kind of visa status he has? Immigrant or visiting or something else? He has to go to the customs and border patrol counters. They will validate his visa. If immigrant visa it might take a bit longer for the process to complete.

if Chicao is his POE ,  he follows the line of other people/  all international flights go thru customs and immigration

the path to do this is the only way he can go

Like every arriving international passenger.  Like you, when you return to the US or enter any other country.  Two paths.  One for US Citizens and Residents, and the other for everybody else.

@Public Charge 101 your husband should tell the helpers he is arriving with an immigration visa and they will tell him where to go. This is what I did it all worked out well.
