B1 B2 rejected twice - qtns on reapplying

Need some advice from VJ members

I work for a US Multinational.
I have had 2 B1/B2 visa rejections : both times 214 B - visa rejection. That was like 3 years back.
I have been missing out on many important team meetings, presentations without a visa.
My company wants me to travel for an important mtg in Sept, so I want to apply for the B1 B2 again .

How do I prepare my case and answer qtns.

During my second rejection I was asked what is different from the last time you attended the interview.

This time I do want to be prepared to answer this qtn. What is a good answer to this qtn - what info should you include ?

Also during my second interview (and rejection) the visa officer didn’t even ask me for my invite letter .

So should we provide all related documents even if they don’t ask for it .

How do I demonstrate ties to home country? My job is in my home country and my parents live with me. I have my entire family here in my home county. Not sure what I can emphasise, that can convince the officer that I will return back home.

Please give me some suggestions and advice. Thanks

There is no "preparation".  You need to clearly state your current situation and if it differs from 3 years ago, state those differences.

If your situation has not changed, that your ties are the same as 3 years ago, I do not see them approving your visa.

Do they ask for an invitation letter?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

No one can answer this except for you.  No one else knows your ties/lack of ties to home.

There is no "invite letter" for B visas.

The adjudication of the B visa is normally based entirely on the contents of the DS-160 application.  They are not required to look at any additional documentation.  They have typically already decided whether to approve it prior to the interview.

I would think team meetings and presentations would be easily done over Zoom.

For specific travel plans... who is the entity paying for the travel? You or your company? Where will you be staying? Do you have specific travel plans?

If you are self-sponsoring this might be the reason behind rejection. You should talk to your company about the details of your application: you are traveling for a specific purpose- to meet with your team on specific dates.

If the reason for traveling to the US is to frequently go over there to work, they should consider sponsoring you for a work visa...

You cannot work while here with a b2 visa. It's for visiting, not working. Period.

A B1 visa is for business: visit to attend business meetings, presentations and seminars is fine.

To the OP: I had a case like this with an employee that was rejected for a B1/B2 visa when he was working for the company just for a short period. We tried a couple years later and his visa was approved. A letter from your company saying that they are paying for everything and detailing the purpose of the trip might be helpful.
