Ex husband threatened to take my green card

Hello all,

I really need help please!

I applied for 601a my waiver was approved.

we got married in 2012 and I became permanent resident since 2017 we have 2 kids and my marriage was real and we were in love and had a perfect relationship.

things got bad on 2021 and we both agreed on divorce because he was a gambler that spend all his money gambling.

now that I m divorced I m applying for citizenship soon. 
I have a clean records paid my tax every year.

now I m terrified to apply for citizenship because he said he sent letters to uscis a couple time saying that I married him only for green card and the marriage was fraud.

not true because I stayed with this man for over 10 years and helped him financially and emotionally even if he has a very good job and make a lot of money.

any way to make this story short, I don’t know if he really sent the letters to uscis or no?

what can happen to me in my interview if they got letters from him saying I married him for only GC?

i m getting denied for citizenship?

I did not do any thing wrong. Only I got divorced because my kids doesn’t deserve to live with some one like him who gets paid over &150k and spend them all in gambling.

and at the end of the month he want me to pay for rent and other expenses.

any advices on what to do before I apply for my citizenship.

You have been a resident for over 5 years, so you should not have an issue. 

 

Try not to worry. He cannot do a thing - and I doubt he will even try-.

Agree.  Applying under the 5 rule.  This won't be an issue.  I find it odd that a petitioner, who was required to provide a LOT of evidence to prove the authenticity of a marriage, would implicate himself in fraud.....😃

I tried not to worry but he is threatening almost every day.

he completely lost it, he even showed me the long letter that he wrote on his laptop but as I said before I have no idea if he already send it to the uscis or not?

my waiver was for unlawful presence because I overstated my visa .

I come as fiancé visa k1 and did not marry him because he changed his mind.

I did not go back to my country and stayed here until I applied for the lawful presence waiver and got approved and then went back for interview in the embassy overseas.

Found somebody else to marry so had to do Consulate processing

He would be guilty of immigration fraud if USCIS takes this seriously

get your green card and protect it 

protect yourself 

if u live with him,   verbal and emotional abuse is serious 

u can call 911 and report him /ask for help  to find protective housing for battered women

OR

call 800-799-7233

get help 

get out

get a divorce 

if he sends emails with threats ,  save them 

then block him from contacting u

 

he can't take your green card privaleges or send u back to Moroc

No,not my ex husband.

I came on k1 visa to marry a deferent guy but things did not work out so I ended up overstaying as you may know if you don’t get married in the 90 days that you have, you have no other option but to leave the country.

I meet my ex husband after that and we got married and he is the petitioner.

That is why I left the country and attend the interview in my country when I got my waiver of 601a approved here at the USA.

and since we were married more than 2 years I got a permanent resident.

hopefully I did explain every thing.

Thank you for your reply.

he is been verbally abusing me for a long time and if I say to him it is not my problem you loose your money at the casino he will threaten me to report it at the ice.

I told him he can’t do that because I stayed with you for 10 years and had 2 kids together.

that does prove that the marriage was legit and real.

I already protected my self and my kids by getting a place for us and we are safe now.

My waiver was for overstaying my visa.

as I replied earlier I came on fiance or k1 visa but did not marry the same guy.

Having kids, unfortunately, just proves you two had sex. Nothing about bona-fide marriage. 

 

You're good nonetheless. Divorce if you want and file under 5 year rule or work your marriage. Choice is yours

Be aware that USCIS will review your Green Card process as part of applying for citizenship.

Do you think I will face any problems?

I was thinking to hire a lawyer but he wanted me to pay $3500 just to file
