the AOS filling I 485,  I 130, and I 765 will cost $2820 instead of $1225

and ROC is going up to $1195

So,  all K1 petitions will face a huge increase in fees

I don't see anything about the 129f on that page. Do you know what the proposed fee would be?

new fee for I 129 is $ 720 instead of $535

Start on page 407 thru 415 to see new fees and increases

I think the only advantage it would hold is that other visa types (i.e. I-129 foreign worker) would provide money to hire more workers. In theory this would provide more agents to focus on certain types.

It could also mean the high income visas suddenly get all the attention to bring in more revenue.

It will take time to see any difference either way. There was another thread where someone that used to work for USCIS outlined that it takes months of training before a new agent gets started.

I'm October 22 as well. All I can say is I'm planning for the long wait, but hoping that they keep up the positive momentum that they've had the last few weeks and we see some serious backlog reduction for everyone.

Has anyone see any dates when they plan to implement these new fees? I thought I read somewhere that they won’t go into effect immediately? I’m hoping we will be able to slide our AOS by before the new fees starts.

there is a 60 day window for public opinions and then they should be finalising it. So maybe in march/april so I don't think you'll make it, sorry

What's the proposed rate hike for the ROC, too?  It's gonna get pricey really fast...

$1195 is the new fee

If filed before the March deadline it is as follows

The filing fee for Form I-751 is $595. A biometric services fee of $85 is also required for petitioners.

Wouldn't the renewal of a 10 YR GC use the I90?  The I90 fee is actually going down currently at $540 going to $465.

That’s a shame and frankly unfair for those who have started the process already. More so because of the major delays at USCIS. Such a broken system.
