  1. We're all pulling for you! It's the worst, and you're a huge support for everyone. Hopefully the wait is short and you can get approval soon!
  2. Honestly, ever since certain things transpired and people were banned it feels like VJ isn't about having a community where you can go and support each other, because the policy prevents us from sharing certain things. I get that the policy is there, but it seems like the spirit of the law would've been better than the letter of the law. People were still coming here to discuss other things, but now they were forced to choose one or the other and VJ doesn't provide the data that the other option has... I have only left my account open so I can get answers from others when I have questions in the future as I'm not on social media. I feel very disenfranchised with this site after it used to bring hope and community.
  3. Yes the times are improving, and it's really great to see. As of January or February this year they finally started processing more cases a week than cases submitted. So the more recent your case the more you'll feel the benefit (barring any unexpected downturn in processing).
  4. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tjozzPBSCE908J3Q6BSBEI5bgKsKy9eSRhPI0sriuXA/edit#gid=0 Update for June, denied went down because I included transferred cases in that category, and some of those were approved. Date Approved Denied/Rejected/Transferred RFEs Untouched/Other Withdrawals March 17 34 363 10 3502 7 April 15 44(+10) 401(+38) 10(0) 3430(-72) 31(+24) May 13 49(+5) 407(+6) 6(-4) 3409(-21) 45(+14) June 17 51(+2) 405(-2) 5(-1) 3408(-1) 47(+2)
  5. That is certainly the trend. Hopefully we get another dip soon like at the end of the year.
  6. Yeah it's been quite variable over time. By the time it gets to us that filed later in the year the situation could be different (for better or for worse).
  7. It's definitely going to be delayed. They have to cut into the backlog quite a bit to see this. Fortunately, this year it's at the point that they are completing more per week than were submitted per week. Just a matter of time barring any drastic changes.
  8. That's funny, because I feel like other than the last couple times I found out from others. 😂 The one I'm excited for is the Q2 report, but nothing there yet. Agreed. I'm thinking that as that number continues to go down the spread of dates being worked on should go down as well.
  9. FY2023 median processing times went down again in May, from 14.4 months to 14.3 months.
  10. There's a site that shall not be named, turns out you can click on the month and it shows the percentage.
  11. You're welcome. I'm not checking the forum as much right now as I'm visiting my fiance. Now that the amazing google doc isn't being updated anymore it's hard to say exactly. The best way is probably to go to the thread for that particular month and do some math based on what the scanners are posting. 1 - (untouched cases / total cases).
  12. No, it's considered a US wedding in the state of Utah. They only look at the location of the officiator. You will need to get the Utah wedding license, which can be done online as well.
  13. There's a lot of back and forth, but ultimately it should still be getting closer. I posted about mine being fully in November and it went back to December for a bit. Now it's even further into November than before. You've got this!
  14. They should start around the end of August if processing speeds don't change. At current rates they move to the next month every ~3 weeks. May started being touched on the 17th.
  15. Absolutely. The highest individual week on the chart from @Obllak is 1318, and I think we beat that this week.
  16. Of course we don't have Friday's numbers yet, but this week has been really good. Depending on how today shakes out it may be the best week yet.
  17. The driving class is a good idea, thanks @Bh_sarah and @AndiB. I'm also going to teach her to drive a manual transmission, because that's what my car is. That will throw another factor into the mix. Luckily she already knows the concept of a clutch from riding a motorcycle though.
  18. Unfortunately it's true, if you're not in a vehicle (and I'm going to even exclude motorcycles from this), you're at higher risk traveling. Luckily in Utah we have a really good sidewalk system in most cities, but when I was in Texas you were mostly limited to a specific neighborhood if you wanted to be on the sidewalk. Driving in Brazil is very different. My fiancee lives in the interior, so lots of dirt roads and the rainy season washes those out. You're absolutely right that it will feel more comfortable here. I guess my thoughts are more how she'll feel the first times she has to merge onto a freeway at 70 mph when there's a lot of traffic.
  19. You should have your fiance call the DMV and talk to them about it. That's probably the quickest and most reliable method since websites are often out of date (and in the case of the Utah official site hard to find exactly what you're looking for). I sometimes wonder how my fiancee will adapt to the higher speed limits here when she decides she wants to drive.
  20. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt FY2023 is updated to show April. Median processing time went down 0.1 to 14.4 months.
  21. The timing is right for May to get started. Hope you can get a speedy approval.
  22. At current processing rates there's a good chance you'll see an RFE or approval by the end of the year. It's a ways off, so things can change, but we're hopeful they'll continue in this positive direction.
  23. I agree, I've seen few expedites in October approved, but the two I've seen since I started tracking still took a month or two for approval. That's not to say the others aren't getting expedite + immediate approval. I only scan once a month at this point, so it's very easy for me to miss a lot.
  24. I didn't see that specifically, but as I've been doing the October 2022 monthly check I've seen approvals without expedite. Not sure how they get through so quickly.
