removal of condition

applied in may 2021

received date 05/28/2021

notice date 12/13/2021 on letter

So far have received the letter saying your permanent resident status is extended for 24 months from the expiration date on your form i-551. This letter is worn out and letter is fading.

When does this letter expire?  when will we start receiving 48 months extension? Thank you.

case status shows on jan 12, 22 we will schedule interview ...no progress till now.

When does this letter expire?

This is why I hate  extension letters. If a gc holder can’t figure it out how does USCIS expect an airline or border guard to figure it out?

Your letter expires 2 years after the 2 year anniversary of the “resident since” date on your gc. So 4 years after your “resident since” date.

I agree its confusing.

resident since on green card says 06/22/19

So the extension letter i have will expire 06/22/23 ?

You said i have received the new 48 months extension letter? i have so far received only the 24 months extension letter.

Typo or auto correct. What meant to type (and am certain I did before the phone changed it) is you should have received the 4 year letter by now.

Since i have not received the 48 months extension letter. Do you suggest that should call USCIS to let them know i haven't received it and to request them to send another one or wait for few more days? thank you for your replies

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do “Did not receive notice by mail”

If that doesn’t get results, then call USCIS, say “info pass”, and request a tier 2 officer call you regarding your missing 48 month extension letter.

I'm not sure what you mean here Mike - as far as I can tell, NOBODY who received an initial I-1797 extension letter (in this case the OP's was for 24 months) has received a follow up 48 month extension letter.

Some people at least  who got 18 month  letters received 24 month letters later. The 48 month extension announcement says people who got 24 month letters will get 48 month letters.

So anyone with a pending I-751 should have received a 48 month extension letter by now.

Nope. Lots of us have not, and I haven't seen a single post from a filer before mid-January 2023 who has gotten a 48 month letter.

I have pending I-751 since November 2021, 24 month extension. No sign of 48 month extension yet.

We will issue new receipt notices to eligible conditional permanent residents who previously received notices with an extension shorter than 48 months and whose cases are still pending”

This went into effect 11 days ago.

Even if it is true zero people with 12, 18, and/or 24 month extension. Letters have received a 48 month letter, that doesn’t change my assertion that they should have received one by now.

Similar timeline for my husband, he filed an I-751 in May 2021 and only has a 24 month extension letter.  No 48 yet.  He was waiting for the 48 month letter to renew his driver's license, which was going to expire in two weeks based on the original 18 month extension letter he received.  But the 48 month has yet to arrive, so he went in a few days ago to renew the DL until August.  No movement on the I-751, it's been 21 months already.  No movement on the N-400, waiting 7 months now.  Thanks USCIS!

No 48 month extension received here either, August 2021 filer. So annoying…

“It’s been 84 years…”

- Me talking about the progress of my I-751
