removal of condition- extension letter 48 months

We just got a 48 month extension letter. Filed ROC September 3, 2021 and N400 October 7, 2022. ROC file was transferred to another jurisdiction shortly after filing N400.

How long had your original extension been for (i.e. when does it expire)? Hoping mine arrives this week...

Original expiration date was Dec 7, 2021 with a 24 month extension to Dec 7, 2023. USCIS decided Jan 23 to send 48 month extensions to everyone with pending ROC.

Thanks - yup I know. I was literally one of the last January filers (2023) to get the 24 month letter and hoping I'll get the 48 month one before I have to renew my driving license in a few weeks.

If you filed in Jan 2023 and have a 24 month extension letter you can use that letter for your drivers license. No need to worry about the 48 month letter.

I wish. My dumb DMV typically only extends driving licenses to the duration of your immigration status (I am well aware my immigration status is permanent at this point but they don't seem to be...) and so I was hoping I could avoid renewing it again in two years, having renewed it 3 times in the past 24 months.
