N-400 January 2023 Filers

Ran through the form today and started uploading documents. Aiming to get everything finished, double checked, submitted and paid for tomorrow after I use an actual scanner to scan a couple of documents to a better quality than a phone photo 😂

 

This is a weird kind of stressful - this has been so easy and straightforward I feel like I've missed something important (though I'm sure I haven't!). Do you know what I mean? After all those massive forms and stacks of printouts for all the applications we've had to make along the way from K1 to AOS to ROC it's so weird being able to just... drag a file over and hit next. 

I agree! Filing online seems so much easier than preparing all those folders to file by hard copy.  In case the actual scanner does not work out, try the free TurboScan app by Piksoft.  It allows you to scan documents and/or create PDF’s from files and photos. It made this process even easier.  Good luck to you! 🫶🏻

Thanks! I was mostly just after a flatbed to get folded papers to come out flatter and thus clearer! it was hard getting a good shot on my phone even with clipping corners down on things  I made photocopies super easy for ROC, but a photo of a photocopy? Don't really fancy trying that lol. All sorted now though!

Curious to know what the mix is for receiving Biometrics notice day of application and later.

 

Seen a few timeliness with same day reuse and others with 2 weeks post filing notices.

Yes my wife's was just a few minutes after they received payment! But I think that's only if it's gonna be reused!

Some of the timelines are for folks wwho have similar times as me getting reuse notices as well as people here with 3-5 years only.

 

Pretty sure my delay is because I have the added pain of a criminal record.

I think it depends on whether you were an AOS or straight filer.  Even as a straight filer, I still got my notification within 2 days of filing.

Finally got my stuff submitted, eek! So that's my N400 officially filed!

 

I'm looking forward to this hopefully shaking the dust off my ROC application. Milwaukee was pretty quick in the past for my AOS stuff so fingers crossed once documents actually get to them we can get this all finished!

Don't be surprised if your case either one will be transferred. Seems they transfer the cases to be together at the same office. They transferred our ROC to NBC where the N-400 is. Several other VJers they have done the same.

Feel a bit better now. I've been here 12 years. GC expires in October. Thought I better get on with lol.  Think I'll be a Feb filer though. Want to file my daughter's taxes first.

We will be submitting this week and also hoping Milwaukee will be quick.
