Hello, guys my parents live in Pakistan and there I-130 is approved by USCIS recently.I am sponsoring them for green card. Now my question is that what are next steps when we reach at NVC stage? Can anybody share their experience or explain step by step? I have few questions. I  and my spouse both have been filing taxes together as married couple every year. I have part time job and my spouse work as independent contractor. Do we need to submit two separate affidavit of support to NVC one signed and filled by me as sponsor and second one filled and signed by my spouse? Should we submit I-485? Do we both need to submit our W-2 the fact is that my wife works as independent contractor she does not have W-2 so what should we do to overcome that? How many W-2 do we need to submit just one or multiple years? Do we need to submit my parents police clearnce certificate to NVC? Other than Police clearance certificate what other civil documents do we need to submit to NVC? How much time does NVC take to approve documents & payments to finally send case to islamabad embassy? How long approximately Islamabad emabssy is taking to process/grant IR-5 visa to parents?

Submit an I-864 signed by you, and an I-864A signed by your spouse as household member and you as sponsor.  Add your spouse as a household member on the CEAC portal and upload the I-864A under your spouse's name.

NVC review will start only after you pay all fees and submit all required documents.  Estimated review timeframe posted here (updated weekly) -- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

Only after the case completes review and gets tagged as "Documentarily Qualified" (DQ) will it be queued for interview at the consulate.  Check here for relevant threads for ISL -- https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/6-us-embassy-and-consulate-discussion/

Thank you guys. My spouse works as an independent contractor as a result, she does not have W-2 but she has 1099. Is that going to be acceptable by NVC? Just submitting IRS transcripts, 1099 from my spouse along with my W-2 is that going to be sufficient? Do we need to  submit W-2 only from the year 2022? Do we need to submit pay stubs as well?

Hello guys my Mom and Dad both  live in Pakistan. Their I-130s have been approved few weeks ago by USCIS . I have few questions regarding process related to the National Visa Center stage.

1-I  and my wife both file taxes as married couple every year, so does my wife need to fill out 864-A?

2- My wife works as an independent contractor as a result, she does not have w-2 she gets 1099 is that going to be accepted by NVC?

3-what other documents do we need to submit to NVC regarding my wife's work?

3-Do we need to submit pay stubs along with other financial documents? How many pay stubs do we need to submit?

4-  How many years of IRS tax returns do need to submit to NVC?

5-Do we need to submit W-2 for previous years too or only the last year?

6-can anyone please list the civil documents needed to submit at NVC stage?

NVC can accept it.

I-864s involving self enjoyment income are more complicated and harder than those using W-2s.  You have to convince NVC and the consulate there is enough.  I’ve read that SE tax, bank deposits (hopefully she has a bank account dedicated to her business), prior income tax returns can help

Hello guys, I have few questions regarding uploading documents for the AOS section on  CEAC. How should I upload I-864 and I-864 A?. Do I need to upload them as 2 separate forms under one category "Affidavit of support form"? Are you suggesting filling them out and putting them in one folder before uploading them under category "affidavit of support form"? Should I upload W-2 and 1099 under " Additional supporting document"section? Should I upload them one by one or put them in one folder before uploading them under "additional supporting documents"? My spouse works as independent contractor how should I upload her license and business agreements? Should I put them in one folder before uploading them under "additional supporting documents"? I Apologize for any kind of inconvenience.

Good morning there are two different tabs for the 864 forms I would upload them separate. I would add her contracts and license under additional and also under its own tan.
