Did my interview today and was approved!! I honestly did very little prep, I used the 'Citizen Now' app to practice for the civics test but that was it. They only asked for my appointment confirmation letter, drivers license, passport, and green card. No other documents were requested. They asked me 5 of the civics questions, then asked me to read a sentence out loud and write a sentence into an iPad, they might have gone easy here because I am an English speaker. But it was pretty simple, once I was approved they asked if I'd like to do the oath ceremony at the same time, I did that also today and got my naturalization certificate.

There was a big line outside the building, but after asking some people I realized that was for ICE registration, USCIS can go straight in.

Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!!

Wow...that is a great news...Congratulations....Thank you for sharing your experience, this is very helpful...so SFO is doing same day oath ceremony...what was your appointment time and oath ceremony time ? Once again congrats...I am very happy for you..

Thanks so much, nice and smooth! Yes it seems so, my interview was scheduled for 12:45pm which took around 15 minutes. Then they scheduled my oath ceremony for 2pm. I was in and out of the city within 2 hours.

I should say, the same day oath ceremony was optional. I believe you could do it on another day if you wanted.

Thank you for the additional information. Actually, I would like to it on same day if possible.  I have a quick question, did they ask about citations, do you have any? if so, did you bring receipt ?  Is receipt mandatory ?

Hi All,

I filled out my N400 online on December 26th based on a 5-year LPR in New York City (Manhattan). I received the fingerprint reuse notice on December 27th, which was my last update.

Have any other New York applicants received notice of their interview being scheduled?

Cheers,

Albert

Hi, I filed end of December (NYC too) and haven't heard back anything. I know a few people who applied from Manhattan around the time/after you and have already been asked for an interview in late April/May. It's all so random.

Hi,

I passed my interview and tests today, and my status now says I was placed in line for an oath, after briefly saying for a few hours my case was approved and going under quality review. I can't wait to see when my oat will be, the officer said 3-6 weeks for the letter to arrive.

Good luck to everyone!

What question were you asked

I filed in January in NYC, a month after you and did biometrics in February, but silence since. You’ll probably hear back before me, but I’ll keep you posted!
