The letter is intended to make them aware of the pending application, that's all. Nothing wrong with that. Besides, @Crazy Cat's wife's interview was scheduled surprisingly fast. The long wait was before the letter.

Without that letter, would they be unaware of the immigrant's actual status ? Do you think they can place an N 400 applicant as a K1 visa holder ?Do you think that the copy of the expired GC/with the extension letter is not sufficient?

The estimated time jumped from 6 months to 9 months yesterday (day the interview was scheduled).  Crazy.  Good luck.  I'll be checking your results!!!

Hey Howdy Ya'll just a heads up for you both. We arrived  extra early, got through security,  took a seat waiting to be called,  it was busy. but there were over a dozen officers working.  Moving people through.   When we were called, I was nervous and surprised to hear the officer say that first they would do the Removal of Conditions, (*with me the spouse)  and then the Citizenship.  It seemed like the officer only initially wanted to do just the Removal of Conditions and that we would have to come back another time for N 400.  We did not submit a request for combo interview (Stupid me)  I see ya'll did so maybe they will have your ducks in a row.  Either way... We were approved, and are now waiting for the Oath ceremony.  This morning I received an Email stating that "action was taken on our case"  and that proved to be notification of final approval and that we were in line for Oath ceremony.  I'm thinking that will take place in january.   What a long strange Road this has been.  The relief we feel at it being just nearly over is unbelievable,   I'm sure ya'll will also experience this joy.   You're onyl a few days away.  Best of Luck to you both.

A few minutes ago, I finished printing out wife's 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021Tax transcripts, several Joint Bank account statements, several credit card statements, and all leases since we filed the I-751.  I gathered some original documents just in case they ask:

My BC

Our marriage Certificate

Her previous divorce cert.

My previous wife's death certificate

A couple pictures

My wife has all 100 Naturalization questions (and answers) memorized.

I believe we are ready.

With a pending I-751 since March 2019, I am hoping for a combo interview!!!!!  It's time to end this journey.

N-400 interview scheduled for Dec 14th in Dallas!!!!!

I just saw this.  Congrats!  Hopefully you have been grilling the missus on those questions and make sure if they ask “who was here when the pilgrims arrived” she doesn’t answer “nobody” LOL

Good luck tomorrow!  I do not want your story in “tales of the green card” either.
