While most filers have been receiving bio reuse notices there are some that still getting sent to the ASC for appointments. Perhaps you fall in that category and you will receive the notice once the appointment has been scheduled? Keep an eye on the documents tab as that will where the notice should appear, be it a reuse notice or an appointment notice.

I assume you applied on paper? If so then yea, one of the draw backs of paper filing combined with the inefficiencies already haunting them. Perhaps reach out to them after a week.

I applied online last Saturday and noticed a glitch in the system. I asked if they received my online form since I did not receive a receipt, but the payment went through. After that, the webpage showed my submission and the NOA1 and then nothing. Zero action. I am so upset.

Will I receive a letter in the mail, or will the communication be online?

I thought that anguish that comes with this process and the uncertainty was done!

Our status has never shown biometrics were applied. We did get an online notice in the documents tab that biometrics were reused and then a notice in the mail.

Completion of the biometrics phase does not shorten the process.

Filed today. Found the online process to be super simple and now the rest of the process is out of my hands. A lot less stressful than filing the 129 six-years ago.

Tuff situation. I can understand your frustration.

Only way I see is to either wait for some time and then if still nothing comes up, contact them.

I applied online yesterday. It has been 12 months since I applied to I-751, and my processing center has an estimated time of about 25 months. So I hope n-400 will speed up the process, and I can forget about USCIS after that.
I got my biometrics waiver 10 minutes after applying. Right now the case status says "Case is actively reviewed". Well, the waiting game has started.

Thank you Mike. I will wait for the mail letter to see if I need to contact USCIS.

To the date, I haven't received any letter on the website.

I received my NOA 1 and biometrics exempted letter yesterday in the mail.

Online website only has the NOA 1.

Now, I haven't received the letter transferring my case to the local office neither.

What a PITA!

I applied for my parents' citizenship on 11/08 and we received the fingerprints appointment for 12/07. I noticed on this thread that a lot of people have gotten a fingerprint reuse notice. Does anyone know why USCIS will reuse fingerprints for some folks and not for others? My parents had their fingerprints taken 5 years when they first arrived in the USA at POE.

Another question, does anyone know have any expierence with N-648 (Medical Certification of Disability Expectation)?   Just wondering if USCIS would give a decision prior or during the N-400 interview. Thanks!

When you pay the biometrics fee, before USCIS  schedules a biometrics appointment, it will analyze biometrics previously collected at different times to see if fingerprints and/or face have remained stable enough.

I do  believe  that it does use biometrics  captured by CBP  as part of this analysis, because I know of cases where the alien had just one biometrics collected by USCIS and still had a second collection waived. In all such cases they had biometrics captured by CBP.

I had two previous biometrics captured by INS and USCIS  in a span of 22 years, and 10 years later, USCIS decided I needed new biometrics for N-400.

My wife had biometrics captured after her I-485 was filed (2019) and at her I-485 interview (2020).   USCIS waived I-751 (2021) and N-400 (2022) biometrics.
