Good day everyone, I will like to get some information about filling tax return if I am still legally married. Filing married but filling separated requires spouse’s SSN which I do not know. Also I will like to know which status Vawa applicants can file with. Any information will be appreciated.

Thank You.

If you are married filing separately and you do not have your spouses ssn, you have to file your taxes in paper form.

I'm in the long waiting period between Prima Facie and adjudication.

Question: Should I send in the divorce decree with my abuser?

A. Helpful

B. Hurtful

C. No consequence

Do not send any other document unless it has been asked.

At this point, only respond to rfe.

Finally the day has come!!!

Guys i have my green in my hand. I never thought i would see this day. Finally a happy ending!!

The journey that started 6 years ago now comes to end.

There were many ups and downs. there were moments when i can see only darkness around myself. However, God has his own plans.

I have many people to thanks specially @sandranj @Demise  and everyone on this forum was really helpful and supportive.

One thing i would recommend is to have patience. Just take it easy as things comes.

Congrats Balo! You totally deserve this victory. You’ve been enormous help to people on this platform. You deserve every win.  God bless you.

Wasn't paying close attention, but for an EAD expedite request, I always knew one of the criteria considered was "health care worker", but I was just reviewing it and it says "or childcare worker". I never noticed that before. That's me. Was that always there?

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/how-to-make-an-expedite-request#:~:text=Call the USCIS Contact Center, that meets the above criteria.

Wednesday = time for our Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

=============================================
IRRESISTIBLE TO WOMEN

A man walking through the woods found a magic lamp on the ground.  He picked up the lamp and rubbed it.  Out popped a genie.  The genie thanked the man for freeing him and granted him three wishes.

The man was ecstatic and knew exactly what he wanted.  "First," he said, "I want a billion dollars."  The genie snapped his fingers, and a suitcase full of money materialized from thin air.

The amazed man then said, "Next, I want a Ferrari."  The genie snapped his fingers, and a Ferrari appeared from a puff of smoke.

The man continued, "Finally, I want to be irresistible to women."  The genie snapped his fingers, and the man promptly turned into a box of chocolates.

:P

I would say reach out to your congressperson for help.

You really need to have a solid reason to expedite.
