As long as you upvoted the joke, I don't care WHICH you want, SW ma'am!

Remember -- the more upvotes, the more effective the joke at prying out approvals (if correlation = causation)!

Hello all, I just got a prima facie. It came as an 180 days extension and this is the first time I am getting PF since applying last year August. I would need your assistance please at guiding me on the Benefits I can receive from PF in Houston Texas.

you can get different benefits such as health insurance, medicade, financial aid. You can go to your state website and look for the benefits they offer.

Thank you for your response. Will the files be sent before approval? My case is still pending but my i485 was already transferred from Vermont to nbc in March. Also I got response from my city’s center on the case enquiry I did on both i360 and I485. My I360 and I485 were file in Nov 2019 to Vermont.

When the VAWA is approved they ship the case to NBC and  NBC ships to the local office.

According to this document they take pending i360 , pending i797, or a pending i766 for a DL.

I have a U visa filed May 2017 and VAWA filed Iin June 2017.
My VAWA got approved in June 2019 .and then I filed 1485 in sept 2019.Since then I am waiting for my I-485 to be transfered from Vermont to local office which is almost like more than 3 years waiting.
Please help what should I do in this situation? When enquirer with Congresswoman, she told me my alien no. Is same so they cannot relocate my i485 to the field office should I withdraw the U visa, but I do not know the implications and how safe this process goes. Would request somebody to help me a solution. Thanks

Good morning people. I'm back again, I received an update today on my I- 485. My I-360 was approved on 08/09/2022 and my I-485 was transferred on the same date to NBC (got the transferred letter and the case approval letters the same time)

The update said initial case review and finger prints applied to the form. My question is my I-485 with NBC or my local office and also, what to expect next from thisScreenshot_20221016_064553.thumb.jpg.093f3a91e95e218113ce32b36f781719.jpg initial review.

Many thanks for thus great forum.

Hey guys in need of some knowledge and advice. We applied under i-360/i485 its been a month since the i-360 has been approved and immigration has been making updates to the i485 case. The last update to my own i485 case was them transferring the case.

Anyways so im trying to cosign a mortgage for a very good friend of mine and his fiancée and the underwriting is demanding that i provide evidence of the i485 case transfer. The issue is that the lawyer in charge of our case has not received the transfer notice from immigration yet and the closing date for the home is set for this friday.

My question is is the approval of the i-360 not enough evidence to qualify me to either be able to purchase a home in the US or to even cosign?

I do not think USCIS send the transfer notices.

I have seen few people who purchased the house with only EAD. I think it depends on the bank. Most bank would giver you loan as long as you have valid EAD
