    I think you should have waited for them to send you the RFE for medical. If they sent you the deficiency letter, they would have explain that you wait for either an RFE to submit the medicals or interview. Sending the medical without the RFE letter might delay it or they might even misplace the medicals entirely.

    In my own case, when the case was transferred to NBC, I got RFE for initial request on my I485. Which was a request for my birth certificate. After the response, I got the deficiency letter and there after the RFE for medicals. But in some cases, the initial request might be for medicals while in some cases, it will be additional evidence RFE. Check my time-lines and see the dates. Best of luck.

    RFE- request for more evidence- good faith marriage. Didn't have a lease or bank statement to support my application. So, I had to rewrite the personal statement that detailed everything. I didn't have much evidence. The personal statements really helped.

    Update- Greencard delivered on 16th February, 2022 Time lines- Feb 2020 - Filed I360 & I485 Concurrently May 2022 - RFE on I360 July 2022 - Response received August 2022 - I360 approval December 2022 - RFE on I485 - Birth certificate December 2022 - Response Received January 2023- RFE for Medical February 2023 - New card production, mailed and delivered. 36 months in total. It has been God all through the way. It ended in praise. I pray that everyone on this journey success and fast approval.

    I think it was a glitch because I saw a lot of people on other forums saying they got this same notification on their status last month or so. Your approval will come soon.

    To God be the glory, I got a nofication on My I485 - New card production. My VAWA journey came to an end Exactly 3 years that I filed my application. Thanks to this forum for the valuable info that helped me along the way. I will update the house on my time-lines later. Just overwhelmed with Joy at the moment.

    Hi @sandranj Thanks for your input on this forum. I got an update on my I485 again yesterday. Another RFE - additional evidence. The first one I got was RFIE- which was for birth certificate. I responded to that and I got the deficiency letter a week stating I should either bring my medical to the interview if I'm schedule or wait till they send me a request. What is this RFE for additional evidence? Is this one for medical or what other evidence will this be.

    I actually got a transfer notice letter together with my I360 approval letter.

    Good morning people. I'm back again, I received an update today on my I- 485. My I-360 was approved on 08/09/2022 and my I-485 was transferred on the same date to NBC (got the transferred letter and the case approval letters the same time) The update said initial case review and finger prints applied to the form. My question is my I-485 with NBC or my local office and also, what to expect next from this initial review. Many thanks for thus great forum.

    @sandranj Thanks for the clarification.! Just want to ask a follow up question, what stage of the process are these checks carried out? I mean, which one of these is carried out before deciding the I360 and I485 or they check at each stage for both forms.

    It seem they now issue the approvals letter for I-360 within days. Card production on the 08/06 and now approval notice on 8/9. Got the below update on my case today.

    Thanks for your response! What a relief. Thank God. I was not expecting any response from them so soon because uscis just acknowledged receipt for the RFE like 9 day ago. I guess the waiting game starts now.

    Dear All, I received these update on my case today like 2 hours ago. New card production on I360 and I765 and another update on my I485 that they have transferred it to another office. Also, I saw they have sent a letter to me regarding that also. Can somebody explain the update on my I485 and if they have sent it to my local office.

    Same with me. I got RFE notice email today from USCIS. I am a February 2020 filer. Just waiting for the letter because also I felt I submitted all the evidence. I hope it is not something that I won't will able to provide.
