Many here have commented on the advantages of CR-1, including our (by now) expert Mr. @Crazy Cat. Comparatively, the time frame is almost the same, and you wouldn't have to do AOS. 

Even though Hungary is not high fraud, the concerns brought up here could very well be the same as the IO: a super fast timeline. And trust me, I think meeting people online is very cool, but also thinking of marriage after two months raises a red flag even if they were from the same country.

Here is a another idea of what you could follow if the relationship progresses: visit her for some time (gather all the evidence), come back, plan for a second visit, but be open to pursuing either or types of visas. Visit a second time and either take that time to prepare the i-129f together, or propose and marry at the end of the second visit and file for a CR-1. Either plan will buy you some planning time imho, especially because some documents in some countries might take time to obtain. Good luck whatever you choose!

Yes; however, the Manila consulate is unique -- often described as "powderpuff" -- and what happens there has zero to do with what happens anywhere else.

Tbone, can you  elaborate that term powderpuff? What made Manila consulate unique. 

Im impressed of the head of their American consul there. He made a YouTube video assuring us about speeding up their immigration  process. He spoke it in Filipino dialect.

Is providing additional evidence to establish  the relationship credibility required for Russia? For example, a letter describing the beginning of our relationship, WhatsApp screenshots etc.

In my experience the amount of evidence depends on how you met. If your partner is a hooker whom you met in a tourist bar, the night after she got out of prison, your relationship might get questioned. The counselor officer asked my ex-wife and I how we met. She was a speech-language pathologist, I was teaching a seminar about treating childhood stuttering. The counselor didn't asked any more questions, flipped through our photos in two seconds, and approved her visa.

This is what I sent in: Passport stamps, flight   Information (copies of boarding passes)…FaceTime pictures, copies of some of your conversations on messenger. Document your experiences together on Facebook. Later you can print screenshots of your Facebook page. Proof you are engaged. Receipt of engagement ring. Take pictures with her family as well when you visit.

I've been I've 1.5 months with my fiancée recently they asked me for proof that we were genuinely together, my advise us sent the intent to marry from both parties, fotos & screenshots of your video chats, notarized letter from ppl who now about your relationship & wedding plans etc... if you do the marriage visa I know it doesn't take 1.5 yrs it depends on immigration. hope this helps, good luck!
