Our application is being actively reviewed, biometrics are being reused, and our payment is pending on our credit card! Filing online rocks!

Thank you! My husband's processing estimate was 16 months and it went down to 10 a little while later.

Well we got our letter from USCIS on the whole "your I-751 has been sent to a new office" since we submitted the wife's N-400.

 

They transferred it to National Benefits Center.

 

I assume this will not be a combo interview then?

Never know. I know your 751 has to get transferred to where your N400 is being processed. My lawyer told me it’ll go one or two ways. They’ll approve your 751 and you just have to do N400 interview or they call for a combo interview for both 751 and N400. My local office is handling my N400 but I haven’t got notification that my 751 got transferred as of yet.

I finished my application today!!! Bio reuse and receipt notice posted on the account 5 minutes after submitting.  Good luck to us all!

I know right! I can’t believe how quick and painless it was.

 

I just hope the change of address form does it thing. Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to move to a different state in a month or so

Just checked on the USCIS website and noticed I had an update - Biometrics has been scheduled for Oct 21st and my estimated time went down from 16 to 9 months like everyone else here! Lol 

 

Happy to have some progress! Just have to keep practicing the Civic questions now

USCIS Journey

1st September 2015 - I-130 Sent

14th January 2016 - I-130 Petition approved

NVC

8th February - NVC Received case

26th February - NVC Fees "Paid" on website
24th March - DS-260 Sent & confirmation received

10th May - IV Package sent to NVC

20th June - Case compete
28th June - Received Interview confirmation (P4)

Embassy
22nd July - Medical Examination
1st August - Interview date - Approved!!

2nd August - Issued

5th August - Visa in hand

24th October - POE

ROC

21st July 2018 - I751 sent

26th July - NOA received 

31st August - Biometrics appointment

5th September - Fingerprint review was completed

8th July 2019 - ROC Approved!

5th July  - New card is being produced

13th July - 10 year green card received 

Naturalization

23rd September 2022 - N-400 Submitted

24th September - NOA received 

21st October - Biometrics appointment

10th April 2023 - Interview date

18th May - Oath Ceremony

Did you ever do Biometrics for your initial green card?

I don’t believe so, not for the initial greencard. I just did the biometrics when doing the removing of conditions to get my 10 yr (that was back in 2018)

My timeline dropped to 9 months now. However, my lawyer told me that the average timeframe for the N400 in Tampa is apparently 5 months. So, fingers crossed that's the case!

My husband had to do biometrics for his initial green card, but not for anything since. They reused the green card biometrics for removing conditions and naturalization.
