I know getting married in Algeria takes a lot of work and time,  so consider meeting in Tunis if the K1 is denied and marrying there

they changed the law, algerians cant get married in tunisia unless they are residing in tunisia

does anyone know what the blue 221g stands for?   I googled it and it said needing additional documents but the co didn't ask for any!!

I don't think the color is really relevant.....You just have to wait until the CEAC status changes or a letter is sent.  Your attorney should be well versed on the procedure.

I don't understand, don't they have to have a legal reason to deny you? are you saying that an age gap = outright denial

They need only suspicion that your relationship is not genuine.....and you won't even get a chance to respond.

Yes. In other words they might believe you’re only in this relationship to procure immigration benefits and as @Crazy Cat said suspicion is all they need to deny.

Did the Officer ask about that or seem to be concerned about anything?  It is usually a positive if they kept your passport.  Good luck.

Consulars are trained to look at cultural aspects of a case

and it is not the norm for a young man to marry an older woman or one who is divorced  in both of our cultures (Algeria and Morocco)

 

they are totally in the right to deny any petition

even a spouse visa petition if it is suspect

 

the receipt for the petition says " it is not a guarantee that the intending immigrant will get a visa"

All you can do now is just wait. Noone unfortunately can answer ur question. But like what people said, age gap might raised red flag.

it doesnt mean it will be denied.
