Hello my fellow K1 Visa filers. What a long, long journey. Since we started our journey back in June of 2021, USCIS has continued to increase it's processing time. It's so disappointing and at times, it feels like a hopeless journey. My fiancé is such a strong man and has been a great support for me, but even he at times gets weary. What do you think? Will USCIS be done with June 2021 filings by this year? Is there hope that we'll be with our loved one this year?

Thanks and blessings to you all ❤️

Love from Sacramento California

You're in for another 1.5 years of USCIS processing time from the time you file to AOS from K-1. Patience should be your greatest strength.

Had you gone CR-1, you would have avoided the aforementioned

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Hang in there.  Based on the I-129F approval trends, seems like you won't have too long to wait now, maybe just a month or two to go.  Check out the thread below for updates from others like you who filed their petition in June 2021 --

They have begun processing May filers. I agree with the above reply by Chancy that you have about 1 to 2 months more to wait. Depending on the embassy, there is a good chance that you'll be together by the end of the year or very early next year.

Hang in there. I know it's hard.

This may sound cliché, but a good way to get courage is to remind yourself the reason you started  it.

It will be a long journey.

I completely understand where you’re coming from. We received our NOA1 on December 31, 2021. I feel like we’ve already been waiting forever at this point… and there are people who have been waiting so much longer than us… like you and your fiancé. I keep hoping that USCIS will speed up to get everyone with their loved ones as soon as possible. Sending you lots of love, prayers, and positivity as you continue on this journey. We’re all in this together.

It's hard.  Take solace that you're not alone.

If it helps, see:

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hang in there, I know it's a tough road. We filed during covid and the US/CAN was closed so waiting in limbo for USCIS to approve us my fiance wasn't allowed to visit All I can advise is make sure you have everything that the consulate will ask for. You can prepare your tax records for the last few years and search where to get the right background check when the time comes for the interview. I had so much proof of a relationship with me, it weighed 15 pounds. Still waiting on visa, but as hard as it seems in waiting for any updates there is a light at the end of the tunnel
