Hello! I would like to travel to USA to visit to my brother.. so  I want to apply for a tourist visa at the us embassy in Tunisia.. from your experiences or from what you have heard, is it easy to get a visa approved? Does the co and interview can Any  impact on the decision regardless of how powerful the paperwork are? Thanks

Hi,

The approval will be based on how strong your ties are to Tunisia vs any ties you have in the US.  Having a brother in the US is ok, because you cannot adjust status through him.

Your profile says K-1.  Do you have a pending K-1 petition?

Tunisians generally have a good chance to get a B visa, but you specifically will need to be able to show your ties to home to get a tourist visa.  What is your brother’s status in the US? This sometimes can affect an application.

Thanks for replying. He’s a us citizen. Do you think this will has a negative effect on the application?

So you’re coming to seek medical care here in the US?
