Hello everyone! My husband (the petitioner) was about to submit all of our documents for the CR-1 application a bit ago and than we had a bit of a personal delay. He will now be sending it out within a few days and as we are reviewing everything we have noticed a few things on the forms that we are unsure of and would love some advice!

1. For the form I-130 in regards to address history, my husband has lived at the same house for his whole life except for September 2017-  April 2018 when he came to Canada to attend university with me than moved back home to the house he has resided at since birth. Since you have to provide address history for the past five years (since may 2017) and my husband moved to Canada in September 2017, should he list the address in Canada and than add the USA address (which was already provided as his physical address in parts 10a-10i) in additional information on the last page with the dates being from his birth to the day he moved to Canada?

2.For the form I-130 in regards to employer history, my husband has worked for the same company since 2018 but started with a different occupation title than what he holds now. Should he list the same company under employer 1 and 2 with separate dates and occupation titles or just consolidate it under employer 1 and list both occupation titles and just have the date he first started with the company?

3. For the form I-130A in regards to address history, I lived at my home until September 2017 and than moved away to University until April 2018 and than moved back to the house I lived at previously. Do I have to list all the addresses including: my address now (house #2) , the house I lived in prior (house #1), my address at university and than the house #1 again? Since it has to be for the past five years (may 2017) and I lived in house #1 until September 2017 than moved away and than moved back, I'm so confused about this. To try and simplify these are the dates:

House #2: September 26th 2018- Present

House #1: April 30th, 2018- September 26th, 2018

University: September 3rd, 2017- April 30th, 2018

House #1: July 15th, 2015- September 3rd, 2017

I hope any of that makes sense, I had a hard time explaining all of that so it's probably somewhat confusing.

when i lived away at college,  i maintained my home address as permanent address

but since the college was out of the states ,  he might want to include the Canadian address and/or use the blank page to write an explanation

same employer / not change so just the address of the home office

when IBM moved us from state to state and we had to make and we had to do new security check paperwork,  we only put home office (pay site) for address of employer

1. Mailing address (and current physical address): US Address

Physical Address1: Canada Address

Physical Address 2: US Address

No need of additional information in the last page

2. Either way should work, doesn't hurt to put it separately.

Keep it this way, no need to overlap the days. Like, House 2 could start from Sep 27.

1. I thought the Physical Address #1 had to be the current address so thats why I was going to put the US address there with the dates after university, then in Physical Address #2 I was going to put the Canadian address and than in additional information I was going to add the US address again with the dates before University since the previous two didn't technically cover the 5 year span?

2. Ok thank you!!

3. Ok so you do think I should put in house #1 twice with different dates(Physical address #1: House #2, Physical Address #2: House #1 with dates after university, Additional Information #1: University address, Additional information #2: House #1 with dates before university)? I figured I should do that so that its in chronological order and covers the 5 years

Oh I was thinking Physical Address meant any place you have lived? Not just what has been on your license etc..

But ok thank you!!

For these matters, it's important to read carefully, interpret literally and answer accurately.

1.  There will e three address entries.  Two will be the same address with different start and end dates for each entry.  It's his history, so provide it accurately.

2.  Title and occupation are not necessarily the same thing.  One employer, one employer address and his current "occupation"

3.  So you had four addresses in the past five years.  It is what it is.  Just enter the accurate information about each.

Physical Address 1 is for current address only if it is different that the mailing address listed in 10b onward. Checking "yes" on 11 makes the mailing address the current physical address. Then Physical address 1 is for past address.

Alright, thank you for your response! Essentially it was three addresses, one of them I lived at, moved out, than moved back in so it was just different time frames. So you think even though they are the same addresses but were lived at during different times they should be listed separately?

Yes.  I understood the situation and advised accordingly.  The "truth" is that you had two different start and end dates for one of the addresses.  There is no other way to properly state your address history.
