Does anyone know how long it takes for USCIS to send the case to NVC? does it notify you? My case was approved on Saturday and hasn't said anything about being sent to NVC

Could take a week to a month.

Wherever it is, it got approved that's all that matters. This waiting is stressful. Good luck with the rest of the process. Hope it all goes smoothly.

I genuinely want to give everyone advice. If you have not heard back. CALL. THEM. CALL. THEM. you will literally hear back 2-3 days AFTER.

also, contact your congressman or woman. Trust me!!!

I got reviewed, approved, and then had an issue with my application that I filled out incorrectly and I got it fixed all under 3 weeks by CALLING.

be nice.

@SumHas have you contacted your congressman? If you did, what was the response?

Our case had been stagnant until we reached out to our Congressman for help. While I cannot confirm that the process began to move forward solely due to the Congressman's inquiry, we did receive an RFE shortly after contacting them. We promptly responded to the RFE, and ultimately received approval. Below is a summary of our timeline, and I wish everyone the best of luck in their own process.

Receipt Notice: 3/8/22
Congressman Involved: 2/27/23

RFE: 3/17/23
Respond to RFE: 3/18/23
Approval: 3/21/23

Totally agree with you!! I genuinely think that my case got fast approval because I contacted my Representative, and he contacted USCIS. We got a fast answer and less than a month I got the approval.

My attorney said to wait, but I'm thinking of doing that early next month if I don't hear back in couple of weeks.

Hey y’all! Sooo I called USCIS today to ask an agent for an update. She said they moved our case from headquarters Friday, and we would have an update by the end of the week. I asked if that was a good thing and they said yes. Our PD is 03/24/2022 AR1 06/25/2022. Could this be an approval? I was confused with the moved from headquarters part?

This is ridiculous. I checked the processing time and inquiry date, it moved from April 30 to October. So I sent a request for inquiry with my state senator today. Hopefully I hear back something.

I'm sure once his office contacts USCIS, you'll know what's really happening to your case. Now let's hope it doesn't take long to hear back from them.

Our case was transferred to my local field office last week from Potomac. Our PD is 03/24/2022 and AR1 06/25/2022. They said they started reviewing it 03/22/2023 at the field office. I had just never heard of an I-130 being processed at a field office??
