I wonder how we get this out to the other members on this site with Ukrainian fiancés... is there a way to provide an alert to Ukrainian visajourney members? I feel like everyone going through this tough moment deserves the same chance to get their case expedited. @millefleur ?

I think, at the very least, there needs to be a pinned thread for Ukrainian beneficiaries on the K1 subforum that directs everyone here and provides the expedite information. I don't think many people know this particular subforum exists. I posted something similar to the March Facebook group, but that's a bit irrelevant considering an expedite for March filers wouldn't do terribly much now.

 

But I agree with @Austin&Olga about the email blast. VJ also makes it very easy to sort by country; I-129F/I-130 filers who petitioned in the past year could always be individually PM'd, even though that would take some time.

Unfortunately there's no way for me to mass message people or do anything like that. We don't have any alert system (yet) on VJ. I can ask the site's Admin but it might take time to implement it with new software.

I have requested the info on Frankfurt with other info for Ukrainians to be pinned here. Only our Lead Mod can pin threads, I can't do it myself. I will pass on this info to the Lead Mod and Admin but other than that we'll just have to wait for them to act. That would be the mysterious @Captain Ewok in case anyone was wondering. Feel free to bombard him with questions in the Site Discussion forum, sometimes he responds better to requests from members than just us Mods bothering him to get stuff done, lol.

I don’t believe I’ve seen this answered yet, but once an expedited case gets to the NVC stage, it will have to be requested again for an expedite once received there, correct? 
 

Also, wanted to mention regarding Ukrainian petitions again that not only Eastern countries are accepting case transfers (Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary), but western countries too! Received an email from Italys embassy(Naples) that they’ll accept cases too.

Hello guys, do you know if expedite request only works for Ukrainian citizens atm? My Fiancee currently resides in Belarus, but we both really worried about this whole situation. She has Belarus citizenship.

Belarusian petitioner here.

 

As the Ukrainians found out, ‘fear of war’ wasn’t a valid reason for expedite before it actually broke out. So until Belarus drags itself into the war, I’m not confident on Belarusian applicants being approved. You always may try, though. The situation in Belarus is indeed extremely different than Russia, however, and you may have grounds for expedition on those. 
 

Nonetheless, there’s about to be a massive refugee crisis from *all* of Eastern Europe a the hammer comes down hard and fast. Does your fiancée have means to get to the West? I am very well aware of Belavia’s woes and Aeroflot being effectively grounded (except Minsk - Moscow routes).
