Is it possible to expedite the petition for my sister (F4) due to situation in Ukraine (impending war)? She's still at the USCIS stage, I applied in 2020. My father will be able to come into the country and apply for her soon, would that be an option?

What about for my parent (IR-5), who's at the NVC currently? Also, is it possible to switch the interview to another country when we were auto-assigned to Kyiv for IR-5?

What is the best way to go about it to get them out of the country and safe?

Really appreciate your advice!!

Well F4 you are looking at c2040 before you could expedite

Assuming she is not married her Father can apply for her once he has a GC

How old is she?

They should be able to visit Schengen countries visa free.

Be calm.  Life in Ukraine goes on as usual.  If they do not feel safe, then they should try to get to Poland or Moldova by land.  Doubtful any interviews will occur during this time.

As of Sunday, February 13, 2022, the Department of State will suspend consular services at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.  The Embassy will maintain a small consular presence in Lviv, Ukraine to handle emergencies, but will not be able to provide passport, visa or routine consular services.  U.S. citizens may seek these services at U.S. Embassies in neighboring countries.
