ARGENTINA - ROC - I-751 Removing Conditions on Green Card - Marriage Based

 Share

Hello!

Long time no see!  So, I thought I would start a thread for those that are from Argentina going through the process of the ROC in 2022 based on a green card through marriage.

To begin, here is the general guide at VJ:

Then, here is what USCIS has:

https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

Now, this is only a preliminary list, but I wanted to start something so we can get the discussion flowing.

Evidence:
-IDs

-Bills

-Statements

-Insurance

-Deeds

-Leases

-Birth certificate of children (if applicable)

-Proof of traveling together

-Photos

Remember:  The idea is to prove that you have cohabitation (living in the same address) and comingling financially (you have merged your finances both liabilities and assets).

**Please note it gets much more detailed, I am only providing a simple general list so we can get some starting points.**

I will soon share a typed up letter of what the cover should bee based on some other ones I have seen here.

Hello everybody!

Currently eight months pregnant over here but I will start preparing my papers to remove conditions to send on Sept 2022 (GC due on December 2022).

I will be starting my research and sharing in here all the process.

Thanks for creating the group and sticking together!

Hope everyone is doing good!

Congrats on the baby!  I think we said so before, but just in case.  Our window opens up in September too, so we will probably be mailing it around the same time as you! 😀

We actually have some things that will be different because our scenario is a bit different than most people when it comes to bills, etc.  However, I will be sharing that here so others can use us as an example.

@Rocio0010 Do you have the link to the affidavits for people that fill them out as part of the evidence?  I remember seeing a page in USCIS that had a link of examples and now I can't find it.

We applied for ROC in January 2021, so we are waiting over a year now.

We just flew back from spending six weeks in Argentina and we miss it so much already! We had no issue re-entering with the extension letter.

Thank you for the update.  That is a good thing to know that they won't give issues if traveling with the extension, especially in long-term trips like yours.  We are planning on doing one next year, which means we might end up traveling with the extension for 1-2 months.  You should be close.  According to the timelines in VJ, the ROC cases being looked at are November-December 2020.

Definitely. We've done several long trips with the green card, including one that was four months long. Never had an issue. This was the first one with the extension letter though and while we were a little unsure about what would happen, we didn't have an issue or any questions asked at Ezeiza nor at JFK upon arrival.

Hello everyone, sorry I just replied to the thread now, but it’s been a crazy day. I’m the petitioner, hubby is the USC. We filed a joint I-751. It got to the Phoenix Lockbox last Tuesday, and last Friday we received the case # via text message. Today, the check has been cashed. So, it’s moving! I’m another post I will share the contents of my package (it ended up being 6 lb, most of it were bank statements). We included evidence since the time we got married up to now. This is what took us a long time, basically trying to organize the package.

Hello hello.

I applied in August 2021, received 2 extension (18 and 24 months), had the appointment for fingerprints in October… waiting for the interview, knowing that will be a loooong waiting for it. 😖
