Sorry for doubting you. I think that the flexibility is due to additional documents being an "upload" and not a "submission". I think anything that shows a status of "submitted" will reset the clock, like I-864 or an official category document like tax return or proof of income.  

Just to be on the safe side, I submitted today using "Other":  

A signed statement (I printed it and signed it because I already had a bad experience using an exported PDF from Google Drive for my daughter's passport) about why W2 was missing and that my employer for 2020 was in Japan and issues no W2 for wages.  

2020 tax return transcript. I had submitted my 2020 tax return (the 1040 PDF from when I filed) but I submitted the tax return transcript in other in case the return isn't good enough.  

  

All in all, I have:  

I-864 + 2020 tax return (1040 form)  

Offer letter from 2021 employer with start date of August 2021  

Pay stub for September 2021 for a full 2-week pay period showing my new salary and US based wages  

In "Other":  

Signed statement regarding missing W2 similar to yours  

My 2020 tax return transcript (This was painful to get, ID.me is a horrible system).

Hey everyone my documents were accepted on both section but I didn’t recieved an email documents qualified? Is this wierd glitch or something? I submitted on October 2

I did it says all applicants documents have been recieved and approved document qualified on the message center
