Hello everyone,

I am in the process of filing my AoS and have a question about the medical.

I had one booster missing when I had my exam in London for Tetanus. I had this administered by my nurse in the UK before coming to the states.

The civil surgeons I have spoken to seem to think either I need a new medical exam completely or need some tests again at least, rather than just saying they can transcribe the vaccine info. Any advice please? I am under the impression I just need to submit that vaccine information and that this could maybe be done later?

I am in New York City if anyone has any recommendations!

Thank you

How do I see that?

There would be a check in the box at the bottom left, where it says Vaccination Documentation.

It is signed off with 'K Visa applicant electing not to be vaccinated at this examination' and then I went and got my Tetanus booster and have paperwork to show that

Might well have a problem finding a Civil Surgeon who will only sign off, they want to charge the full fee.

There’s a civil surgeon in NYC who will transcribe for $60. That was a few years back, maybe the price went up a bit. Certainly better than paying for a full exam:

If you do go, post an update on that thread on prices, it would help others in the future.

We found a Civil Surgeon in Monmouth County, NJ who was willing to do just the vaccine portion for $100. This was almost two years ago.

Keep calling until you find one who doesn’t want to do the full exam.
