I am somewhat intrigued as to what the story is but no way am I going to make definitive comments on extremely limited information.

I do agree a Lawyer is the best bet, if for nothing else to find out what the situation is. A Lawyer will need to know the full situation.

Do you have a common name which could possibly lead to a case of mistaken identity? That's really the only think I can think of here. Definitely a situation where you need a good immigration lawyer and this could end up costing thousands of US dollars. Even then, if you talk to a good immigration attorney, they may just tell you that there's nothing they can do. As @carmel34 said, even good lawyers sometimes can't overcome what the DoS decides. You should really consider living together in Nigeria or possibly a 3rd country, if that's an option.

That i cant know but i dont think so because i am Patrick,i talked to an attorney after acessing my ducs and application, he said the only thing he sees that connect me to terrorism is one of the society i belong to which is  Red Cross Society, and i was like what and how....he said Red Cross negociates with armed groups, rebels ,military and terrorist.....................Man thats funny for someone to reason that beside i have never be among  negociation team.

They hadn't accused you of anything... they were checking your identity to make sure you were or weren't a terrorist. Because your wife filed the WoM they had to refuse your visa because they didn't weren't able to verify your identity in time allotted by the WoM. If you aren't involved in serious terrorist activity, telling you about the the activity they believe you might be involved in ESPECIALLY IF YOU AREN'T would be a security breach  (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Unfortunately, Nigerians are under a microscope because they have access to so many fake documents, so legit Nigerians who are trying to obtain their benefits are caught in the crossfire.

I'm so sorry, but if you want to be reunified with your wife you should look into living together in Nigeria and deciding to file another I-130 if that is a smart choice.

From what little I know from your case,  I, also, think the WOM forced them to make a decision before they had concluded their investigations (AP).  That is the risk of filing a WOM.  Now, it's going to take a good attorney to get all the facts and formulate a plan.  Good luck.

This whole thread serves as a cautionary tale for people in AP who are still waiting. Think twice before filing a WOM. You just might end up rejected with a very hard to overcome decision.

As frustrating as AP is, waiting it out seems like the better choice.

OP, it is very unusual for AP to take 4 years, there must be more to your story than what you have posted so far.  Did you ever apply for a tourist visa to try and enter the US?  Were those visas refused, and if so, why?  Did you ever put "married" on one or more of those tourist visa applications when you were in fact single?  We often see this situation in Nigeria.  More information would allow us to try and help you move forward.  Good luck!

So we're getting closer to the facts of your case, in bits and pieces... If the Lagos embassy staff doing the extended background checks on you, which in countries like Nigeria are extremely difficult to do thoroughly and accurately, even had a slight suspicion that you may be remotely connected to any armed terrorist groups, then when your wife filed the WoM, they had no choice but to deny the visa.  The WoM essentially forced their hand prematurely.  Had you waited until their background checks were complete, the outcome may have been different and you could have been in the US by now with your wife.  I suggest that if your wife is not willing to move to Nigeria or a third country so that you can live together, that she try again with a new I-130 petition and be prepared for another, very long administrative processing so that the background checks can be done properly.  Don't file another WoM even if AP takes years.  I would guess in cases such as yours, they may even have to send embassy staff to the Red Cross to ask questions about your specific involvement, and with their heavy case load and backlog due to COVID, this could take a very long time.  Another possibility is that they questioned the bona fides of your marriage relationship and simply used your Red Cross membership and its ties to terrorist groups in Nigeria as a reason to deny the visa when the WoM was filed.  So before you start a new I-130 process, if that is what you and your wife decide to do, look at all of your evidence and make sure it goes over and above in all aspects.  How much time have you been together in person?  How many trips did she make to Nigeria to be with you?  Did you get married on the first visit?  What evidence of your marriage relationship did you submit with the original I-130?  How much financial co-mingling have you done since marriage and what documentation do you have as evidence of that?  Sorry you are going through all of this, but if you really want to be together there are paths forward to make that happen.  Good luck!

well i dont really know what to say....It was an Attorney that advice us to file it...since we have gave them what they asked they for 3yrs they didnt do anything

That is all water under the bridge now.  I think you have a big, big challenge ahead which will take a very good attorney.
