Is it a normal display from them to just say 'AT NVC', but nothing else?

Yes. When consulate requests your case it’ll change to “in transit” and then “ready”.

Thanks! Could you advice what we need to do after we get this NVC case number? Do I need to just fill out the DS160 first and pay the fee?

You wait until it shows “ready”. No point of filling those out if the consulate doesn’t request your case. Once it’s ready, either the consulate will contact you or you will need to make an appointment, it depends on the consulate - each one has different procedures.

the USC should get IRS transcripts for the interview as u will need them

sometimes these take time to get so its best to ask now

2020 are needed if interview before April 15th 2022

2021 are needed if interview after that date

Thank you! Maybe I can fill it out now just in case. Since we are planning to expedite our case.

Thank you! That really helps. You know how long it would be to get the transcript? We requested it 2 days ago.

No problem in filling the DS-160 but I wouldn't pay the fee until you have the go from the embassy.

Can you just use the saved Tax Return (1040) document or you need to specifically request something from IRS?

Removal of Conditions (I-751)
2/17/24: I-751 packet shipped via FedEx

2/20/24: I-751 packet delivered

2/22/24: Receipt Number available on USCIS Portal

2/27/24: Extension Letter Available Online, Biometric Re-use letter, "Case is being actively reviewed"

some is embassy related

that is some embassies require only IRS transcripts (originals) and some accept copies

most accept 1040 and W2's ,  1099's and a letter from employer with start dated

but still check what the embassy requires and/or what is listed under needed documents in your appointment letter

I see, yeah I was curious if I can send the embassy all the documents and signed form electronically rather than international shipping of the papers.
