My Fiancée and I had a little baby girl last December in Ecuador, today her US Passport and CRBA arrived at the consulate, I’ve seen people use CRBA as an expedite reason. I’m currently abroad in Ecuador with them and having trouble finding a job. But I don’t want to go back without them, I already have a job in the US and have family willing to joint or co sponsor if needed, was wondering how expedite through CRBA works? Anything helps TIA

I don't see how that fits the criteria for an expedite.  I've never heard of that one.. but good luck.

Separation is not fun, but it is, sometimes, part of the process.

I used the my son's US Citizenship (CRBA) in the Philippines to expedite my fiancé's K1 visa.

Her 1st interview had been cancelled because of a lockdown in Manila. When my son got his CRBA interview scheduled I email the Embassy and requested she get her interview at the same time, actually on the same day.

This was approved because having a US child was a reason they were granting interviews...at the time.

Not sure about things in Ecuador.

Good luck.

The US embassy in Manila actually considers the need to travel to the US with a USC minor child as an acceptable reason for K1 expedite.  No idea if Guayaquil does too.  As you know, expedite qualifications are consulate-specific.

What are the travel needs of a new born?

I stated that my fiance had an existing K1 visa (listed MNl#) and stated that my son had an upcoming CRBA interview and could they expedite due to him being a US citizen and she wants to travel with him.

Again, this was the Philippines so I'm not sure of your situation. But, if you don't ask... the answer is always a NO.

I do not know that would be up to the person concerned making their case

You can request an expedite for many reasons. All they can do is say no. There is no penalty for asking.

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

You may not mean using the CRBA as a reason for an expedite, but you can use having a US citizen child that is coming to the US as a means to expedite.  We had our K1 application expedited at the embassy based on having a USC child.  @AlaMike and I went through the same process through the Philippines.  We had our interviews at a similar time as well.  Our applications were already at the embassy and we just wrote to them asking for an expedite as well as submitting proof.  I submitted copies of my sons US passport.  You could use the CRBA if you dont yet have a passport.  From date of my request until we heard from the Embassy was about 5 weeks and the interview was scheduled another 5-6 weeks further out, so about 2.5 months in total time.  This occurred in the Sept-Dec 2020 timeframe.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."
