Hi everybody! I'm working on the whole file, how would I know if my birth certificate needs to be translated, I'm in Florida and my birth certificate is in Spanish, if I di have to translate it, should I get it certified or I can just translate it myself like we did with another document while on I-129F petition?

We had anything that wasn't in English officially translated. Maybe more  folks at USCIS speak Spanish than Finnish though.

Hi, you can translate yourself. You just have to add a sworn statement that you have the ability to translate like below.

Certification by Translator

I, [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in English and [foreign language], and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled [name of document].

Hello! I received the online access code for my I485 with I130 today (received at Chicago lockbox on August 11). I found via myUSCIS that the scanned documents attached to my application do not include the entire set of documents I sent in the mail. I do not see I864 in any of the scanned documents. Is this normal? Also, I saw in the receipt notices that my A number has changed. I used the A number associated with my F1 OPT EAD card for the application. The receipt notices for my AOS application has a new A number. Is this expected?

Hi, National Benefits Center, filling out of Omaha, Nebraska. Btw I contacted USCIS through Emma (online service) and they already sent me the access code via email

I'm trying to do that with Ask Emma now but it keeps saying "I'm still researching this subject and don't have any further information.."

What exactly did you ask emma..thanks a million!

I said expedite case, then case status and then connected me with an agent. Hope that works!

1) the scanned documents since to be normal. I already got access to my USCIS online and it only has a few pages of different tandom documents I submitted. I also have a different case going on and the scanned docs are only some random pages. So don’t worry about that.
2) regarding the two A numbers, it seems this is common for people that have/had multiple cases/applications with USCIS. From what I have read, it is not an issue since they see all of your info on the backend and they know it is the same person. I also have two A numbers, one for AOS and one for my other case.

hope this helps!

If you have access to the online account, you can check there for the biometrics details. Our letter arrived a week after our biometrics appointment, and we definitely wouldn't have known when it was scheduled had we not checked the online portal.

Oh I didn't even know you could do that! I've got access to my online account but I don't know where to access the details of the appointment. Thanks!

Log in to your USCIS account and under I-485 click “documents”. You should be able to view your acceptance letter and biometrics appointment.

Ah got you. Just got the letter in the mail today and appointment is a couple of weeks away so that’s a relief.
