Just had our aos interview (adjusting from k1) yesterday. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life.  The officer said  give him 1 or 2 day to review the new evidence we gave him, and then he’ll make his decision to approve or mail us a letter if he needs more information.

2 days before our interview, my husbands EAD and I131 were approved! So at least he can look for a job meanwhile. This will be a combo card right? We applied at the same time.

I received mine yesterday but I went to the SS office on 12/27/2021. I called the office on 12/24/21 and was told to come in because there was nothing on file for my husband.

I got my EAD back in December the 19th. No ss I called the card center and they don't have any requests. I'm scheduled to go to their office next week.

For whatever reason, the SS office never shows records for you from USCIS.

But you are rushing, it takes about 4 weeks. So you would get your SS card after January 20th or so It's ok to go to the appointment too if it is easier for you. It won't show records until they issue it. For example mine was issued 29 days after the EAD approval...

I called SS on 12/15, 12/20 and 12/24 before going for an appointment on 12/27/2021. SSA looked at two systems and said that a number was never issued. I also contacted USCIS and the rep said that I should contact SSA. USCIS says to contact SSA if you do not receive your SSN number in 7 business days.

I will let you all know if I receive another SSN for my husband.
