Wow that's very fast! I filed in the second week of May and my case status now is "Case ready to be scheduled for an interview".

My field office is Newark NJ as well, what was the reason you told them to expedite the EAD? and did you submit any documents please? I want to expedite but I couldn't think of any valid reason that I can get accepted with.

Hi. We already moved to california so I field AOS in california. We didnt submit any documents, they just placed a note on the case and was approved.

Coming in late to this thread to share my timeline and keep an eye on other peoples for reference:

  • 05/18/21 AOS submitted
  • 05/20/21 AOS Arrived at USCIS
  • 06/03/21 Money taken + NOA1s received
  • 07/22/21 Biometrics Appointment Letter received
  • 08/09/21 Biometrics Appointment
  • 08/09/21 EAD Expedite Requested
  • 08/10/21 EAD Status changed to “Expedite Request Received”
  • 09/08/21 2nd EAD Expedite Requested + Case Status Updated to show new date

I never heard from USCIS regarding my initial EAD expedite request so contacted them on "Ask Emma" and they asked if I wanted to request again, I said yes as long as it wouldn't delay my initial request and put me to the back of the pile.

Hi, do you have any updates on your second expedite request? My case has been stuck "expedite request received" since 9/9 and no update since. I have a job offer that requires me to start on 10/18. I contacted congressman office to help me expedite on 10/6 but still nothing yet.

I even talk to USCIS representative and they said I can't do anything but wait, and they say I cant request another expedition either because my first request has not been decided yet. But it has been almost 30 days, and I still got 10 days left until my job start date. ANXIOUS

Yes, just on Monday Oct 4th my status updated to "Card was mailed to you" and then the next day Oct 5th status updated to "Case was Approved"

My AP also updated on Oct 5th to say Approved.

It has been about 2 weeks since my Congresswoman's office received a response from USCIS saying they have put my case into expedited processing (which was the 3rd expedited processing request technically).

Congrats! Did you get a response on your first and second expedition? Cause my first one has no response and uscis told me to just wait.

also did you include any evidences? I only attached an active job letter so not sure if that’s enough or do I have to submit bank statements and etc to file under financial loses.

Did your status update for the requested expedite within the day of requesting it as well (like the person you quoted) or did it take a few days? Been over a week for me and I haven't heard anything whatsoever. 😐

Nope, never got a response from my expedites sent directly through USCIS 🙄

I submitted my job offer and a statement explaining financial hardship, and then also evidence that my husband who is Active Duty hasn't had his pay slip updated yet to show he now has a dependant (he's supposed to receive a little more money for housing with a spouse) so the statement played on the fact that we're dipping into savings to support a 2 person household etc.

When I submitted through the Congresswoman's office my status didnt update with USCIS to say another request had been submitted.

But each time I requested through USCIS directly the case status updates that day or the next.
