Floriduh has about 43 cents per gallon tax . Ga usually has about 30. Most of the difference.  If I recall beer is much cheaper in Floriduh and they don't have a state income tax.

I gotta say, FL has pretty much been leading the pack the past 5 years or more.

But forget about state income tax... ANY state that doesn't have that has higher property taxes, period.  Gotta pay those state dues SOMEHOW.

 

As an example, AL property taxes are about $750 a year for a comparable property in AK (no state income tax) that charges nearly $8,000 annually.

I'll have to say the property taxes here in FL are not bad, especially compared to some of those northern states that also have income taxes.

Yeah, but would I want to live in AL, AR, or GA??  LOl, NO.

 

Wife's daughter and family moved to Broward county last year (Parkland) and it looks like their property taxes are about double.  Wouldn't want to live on that coast anyway.

You got that right....... We sold our house in mid 2021.   The tax appraisal went up almost 40 percent between 2021 and 2022.   It appears that the tax appraisal base is the same as market value....

National Average up to $4.92, but not to worry, Old Joe is using all the tools in his toolbox to keep that going up.  It is interesting, in MI we were generally lower than the national average, but now I am seeing $5.29/gal.

What I am surprised by is why those who voted for Biden are surprised.  He promised to reduce CO2 emissions. High gasoline prices is consistent with that goal. If anything Joe is over achieving on this campaign promise.
