Right on all 3... .What it all boils down to is;, Democrats are using Corporations as a propanganda tool to advance their leftist agenda,  they have the media on their side, now they want Corporate America.

I always liked the Michael Jordan approach even if he said it in jest.  When entertainment figures or corporations start dipping their toes into political activism, they will alienate a great many folks, and though I have never been a proponent of targeted boycotts, when an entity divides their supporters, there will be financial consequences.

It's not his representing Kentucky that brothers me, that's his job.

It's blocking nominee's and bills that would pass easily in the senate floor from coming to a vote. No one senator should have that power, and he used it, cynically, throughout his time as leader.

Please reference where I ignored partisanship from the GOP in DC?  I am of the feeling that all the DC elected elite and DC Federal bureaucrats are hopeless hypocrites.  Now if you are admitting that those you agree with politically are also hypocrites then we can leave it at that.

Senators have had that power for years.  It is the last major political check in place that protects the minority from the tyranny of the majority.  Now if we simply want to turn the Senate into a smaller version of the House, then fine, it will only lead to eventual downfall.  For some reason everyone thinks the Senate should rubber stamp any nominee a President throws up, there is nothing that says this should be the case.  Political and judicial nominees that have a ton of budgetary and legal power (rule making, etc.) should be vetted extensively (not just an FBI background check).  Regardless, what Mitch did with respect to Garland (if you are referring to that), was purely a political risk play.  At the time, the general thought was that Hillary was going to win anyway, and there was also a big question regarding the Senate staying in the GOP hands, it worked out for Mitch in that case, and it appears he read the tea leaves regarding the nomination Coney Barrett which also worked for him politically.  It very easily could have gone the other way.  Do I agree with him doing that, no, not really, as elections have consequences, and the Dems (especially Schumer) will do the same thing.  The talk about eliminating the filibuster and packing the court could also backfire on the Dems at some point in the future, it would be a good thing that everything in the Senate was brought back to a 60 vote margin (nominees and budget reconciliation included) if anyone truly wants bi-partisanship, but it appears that talk is simply lip-service from those currently in DC on both sides of the aisle.
