Covid-19 vaccine eligibility for k1 AOS

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows whether people that are currently awaiting AOS are eligible for the covid vaccine? I know that eligibility varies on each state but as I'm still waiting for my SSN, EAD and green card as I filed for all of those together, and currently possess none of those, I don't know if I'll be able to get it? Also is anyone else in this position? What are you guys up to? I wanted to at least volunteer while waiting for my work permit but I couldn't because we're not supposed to do that until we have all the papers so I'm just waiting. Thanks in advance to anyone that responds. Have a lovely day.

covid vaccine is for everyone/  we don't have to prove status to receive it/  I have had both shots without showing any proof and even illegals are getting vaccinated

eligibility depends on your age and health conditions and the area you work. health care workers are high pririty. It is irrelevant whether you are a US citizen, Permanent Resident, Visa holder, Illegal, etc

you can volunteer all you want provided you dont get paid  , there is no restriction on that

duh

I live in NC, I just got my vaccine today. I don't have any of my things either, they didn't ask for ID either.

It depends on your state, but if your group can get it, you should be fine to.

Thank you, this makes me feel better. I went with my partner to get their shot and they needed both id and insurance card, obviously I don't have either so I didn't know if I'd just bring my passport instead or what? But I guess we don't need it. Did you just say you're waiting for your green card? Thanks for your help. 💙

I have yet to hear of any COVID vaccine administration site requiring any immigration documentation.

Obtaining a COVID vaccine is within the regulations of the particular state you live in, under some federal guidelines, but is usually based on your health, age, and occupation eligibility only. Many states require some form of ID to prove that *you* are the person that are arriving for the vaccination. That has nothing to do with immigration, but only to ensure you are the person showing up for the appointment. Some places will also ask for an insurance card, but of course not everyone has insurance and there is no cost to the patient to obtain the vaccination.

I am adjusting status from a tourist visa. No one looks for proof of immigration status. Moreover, I live in a state that has opened vaccinations to everyone 16 years old and older.

Here's my experience:

  • Dose #1 (drive through vaccination center): no IDs checked anywhere. The staff only asked me if I was there for dose #1 or #2, and gave me a vaccination card with my name and birthday.
  • Dose #2 (Walgreens appointment): staff asked for my ID and health insurance. I presented my original passport and insurance card.

Don't be afraid, every person vaccinated makes it safer for the country as whole.

I am in Texas, I signed up two illegal aliens to get the Modera shot from CVS pharmacy, It asked for the SSN when signing up but I skipped it.  They went last Saturday and got it free and had no issue.

Their father who brought them here illegally many years ago, him and his wife got the vaccine a couple of months ago, so I am pretty sure anyone inside the USA can get it, and it's free since Trump prepaid for 200 million doses of Modera/Pfizzer back in December.
