Green Card With NO Interview for 2020 Filers?

I just checked my status and my daughters status today. We applied in August, 2020 and sent in our RFIE for I944 in January which is our last update. Never had a ready to schedule interview or an interview scheduled. It skipped straight to RFE received to new card is being produced. I thought this was only for longer applications? Is this a glitch.. I don't want to get excited or anything. I didn't expedite or anything but I am hopeful this is actually happening?

Weirder things have happened 😁

If OP was checking the status of the I-485 and it says card is being produced then that's what it is. It doesn't show other applications like EAD under the number for AOS.

OP play it cool and wait for the approved or even card was mailed update to get super exited in case it is a glitch but it can be that you got approved without interview. The ways of USCIS are mysterious sometimes 😊

I already have my EAD card and that's a separate receipt number too!

I already have my EAD and it definitely isn't that. It's my I-485 status and my daughters separate I-485 status both are now card is being produced. I'm not trying to get too excited as I assume it's probably a glitch. The only thing that makes me feel slightly positive if both mine and my daughters changed. At least it should be mailed out fast it if it real as my EAD/AP card was.

Then there’s a good chance its green card especially if adjusting from K1 where you’ve already participated in an interview

They wouldn’t issue from VWP AOS. if adjusting from k1 you’ll see a few have been issued because they’ve at least participated in an interview at some point, hence my asking what she was adjusting from and trying to figure out if she already had EAD

Then yes, likely GC, they’ve forgone a fair few interviews due to covid from what I’ve seen.

I'm bored today and checked OPs timeline where I could find all that information 😉

Congrats! Under the current rules, be prepared for an ROC interview...

That doesn't bother me. Interview now or interview later it's all the same. :) Thanks!

Yeah I'm a filed Dec 2019/NOA Jan 2020 and they cancelled my interview last April and issued me the green card anyway. Seems like sometimes people get lucky and just get issued. I would expect an interview for ROC in a couple of years.

ROC interview doesn't bother me. Just like this one doesn't bother me. Glad I get my card sooner though. Just weird as I have only seen cases like this when an interview was canceled last year. That isn't the case with me.
