Seems like it. And I hope he keeps pressure on both Russia and China for human rights abuses.

  I'm not saying we can't employ a rhetorical device used only for deflection. It would just be nice , whether we agree or disagree, to hear and opinion or answer to the specific issue sometimes.

So now it is a rhetorical device used for deflection.  I like to look at it as learning from past mistakes as well as exposing hypocrisy.
